Guthrie Lourdes Hospital - Cardiology

I have been a CHF patient for 14 years and a Lourdes Cardiology patient for four years. In four years, I have had three different cardiologists, presumably, because the good ones keep "jumping ship." I spent an hour and a half waiting for my first appointment with my third cardiologist today. When I asked what was taking so long, the lady at the front desk said, "I don't know what happened, this is crazy." About five minutes later, she returned and asked if I would come back next week. Sorry, but your standard of care is beneath my expectations. The only reason I applied two stars to this review is because there are some good and dedicated professionals that still work there.

dr dimenna in my opinion is one of the most rude and dismissive dr i've ever met . i went to see this dr after getting a referral to him because ive been having massively high or massively low blood pressure , heart palpitations , and tachycardia . all of which cause me to go deaf , blind , faint , lose muscle control , shake , sweat , and hear loud fizzing multiple times per day , everyday . i have multiple pictures of my blood pressure monitor and told and showed dr dilemma all of this . he disregarded those photos and did a poor man's tilt table test and that's literally it . he did nothing else . he did no other tests , no lab work , offered no explanation , no treatment , no anything . not even a follow up . he looked at me , chuckled , and told me to " eat more " before ending the appointment and leaving the room . i eat more than enough and being skinny doesn't mean im not eating enough . it is my understanding that continuous high blood pressure damages the heart . i am concerned and in my opinion dr dimenna is letting my organs be damaged , letting me risk potential heart attacks , strokes , and heart disease instead of treating me . his only treatment plan was " eat more " with no follow up appointment made . my experience going here and seeing this doctor was terribly unhelpful and left me in the same spot i was when i went in .
