Dr Cortes has been my family's doctor for about 20 years .He is a very caring doctor always willing to listen to you

Completely unprofessional. Has a FIT if you question him and makes his own "rules". Walked out during an appointment because my grandparents wanted to give consent for me to speak/get info from Dr if needed. Made up something about "he doesn't do that, they can have ONE person and no more and NO THIS WAS NOT TO BE A PROXY, only to discuss info. Upon asking why, he got upset, upset my 80+ year old grandparents and walked out. Oh but he'll still be sure to get his insurance check tho!!! Beware and most certainly do NOT bring your elders. The way he's been intimidating my grandparents for YEARS and gets away with it makes my family sick.

Great Dr. Been going to him for 6 years and trust everything we discuss. Explains everything, is willing to work with you and is just an all around solid guy. The negative comments on here feel like people that were set in their ways and didn't want to change. Trust me, you want a PMD like Dr. Cortes.

My family had a terrible experience with Dr. Cortes. He WOULD NOT work with my mothers Hospice Dr's and made the end of her life very difficult. We were extremely disappointed as my Mom thought very highly of him and couldn't understand his indifference. In the end she felt abandoned. It was quite sad, his support would have meant a great deal to her.

Not a good Dr. He was a good Dr at one time. He doesn't like to send his patients to a specialist, he thinks he can do it all and he hates PA's and NP's, he gets angry if you mention you saw a PA at another office. Very old fashioned. I went there for years but had to switch.
