Visited the ER for a mental health crisis. Waited for around 10hrs after being told a social worker would be called to speak with me. Never saw a social worker or doctor after sitting in the lobby/hallway hospital bed with other patients for hours. After multiple breakdowns and asking for an update, a head nurse stated they were waiting on the next doctor/shift, that her hands were tired, and apologized. I decided to seek help elsewhere as my mental continued to spiral while there. The following day, I still requested documentation stating that I was present in the ER. Spoke with a man who stated I wouldn't get a note because I wasn't seen, which is fine, I'll never argue with company policies, but he mentioned multiple times that it was because I "took off" before they could see me. Quite insensitive not knowing the situation and a simple no would suffice after time waisted during such a difficult time. Hope there will be improvements quickly for future patients seeking help.

Currently sitting in St. Peter's ER with my father who is a 76 year old man with CHF (congestive heart failure) for about 8 hours now, mind you we were sent here from his Cardiologist office by ambulance with a diagnosis already, we know he has an extreme amount of fluid retention that is severely affecting his breathing and oxygen levels. Upon coming to the hospital his BNP levels were at 8,000 normal levels should be around 250, since we've been here we've had one diagnosed him with pneumonia. WRONG! and another come in and massage his legs. We are way past leg massages as treatment! He can't even speak a word without hacking up half a lung and oxygen levels dropping so low the machine is going off. And yet no one at this hospital has come in to turn it off or check on him, it is still currently beeping as I sit here typing this. And besides that he just struggled to get out of bed to relieve himself and the heart monitors are all currently unplugged and guess what machine has been beeping for twenty minutes now and not a single person has come to check on him. Not to mention not a single cardiologist has been in to see him yet. I feel like they are just leaving my father here in the ER to die. He should have been moved cardiac care immediately upon arrival but I understand gotta run him through the ER first so we can misdiagnosed a bunch of stuff without even consulting a cardiologist so we can just bill the big bad insurance company's or for whatever this hospitals motives are or maybe because he's a 76 year old white guy and just not worth the resources it would take to fix him. But it should be a pretty simple fix, put him on oxygen and an eight hour rotation of Bumex a powerful IV diuretic than will help rid his body of fluid retention but what do we know we've only been dealing with CHF for the last twelve or so years now. This ER is terrible, the cardiologist however are fantastic we just can't seemed to get treated by one here even when your loved one's life is on the line, zero sense of urgency from this ER! Please wish us luck because with this ER we will need it! I hope my dad survives this.

Not so bad I was attended pretty quick. But it was at night with no one there. I had a virus was wasn't sure they gave me fluids and soften fast and I was feeling better. Only thing is that should have given me blankets I was freezing. But very professional and good staff from what I saw. Eventually I asked for blanket and they handed me one.

My surgeon my doctors everything was perfect. They are awesome. Nurses awesome Let's say Hospital surgery how they took care of me was awesome. It was clean. Everything was great. Things kind of got to change. They have to figure this out because it is totally irresponsible. Should have never never happen and to make a person feel like they were going crazy literally. How to explain is I had emergency surgery. I tore a valve they had to go in a repair it. . How to explain is I had emergency surgery. I tore a valve they had to go in a repair it and after surgery, I totally could not eat or drink for four days 3 to 4 days. And when you take certain meds religiously when it comes to psych meds and sleep meds, they should exchange him for the fluids since you can't have them well I started going into hallucinations. Nobody would listen to me I about snapped and almost ended up going totally work. Been on top of that they do not let you get up and go to the bathroom Unless you push the button for someone to help you well they don't come for a long time not good very embarrassing for somebody to have an accident on themselves. Ben, I don't know who it was cause all of them are like that but a not the nurse but the ones that are underneath that are there to help out you know she comes and tells you would you like to instead of getting all unhooked early in the morning would you like to use a bed pan of course that way I don't have to unhook all this. It's 3:30 in the morning. Sure OK I'll be right back to go get that thing. I pee in the bed pan never came back ever I could not move I turned on the buzzer no one ever showed up what happens. I have another accident on myself. This is ridiculous to make somebody feel like they were a baby not to take them to the bathroom and let them have accident on their selves. That's it that's how I feel. It was totally wrong not saying all of them was like that, but that's what happened to me and I feel it was not right. I would get this place at five but they really need to figure this out and talk to somebody and get this figured out so this never ever ever happens again that's all I gotta say Hospital work on it. You really need to work on that besides that thank you very much. You did take great care of me. You gotta have a discussion with everybody and work on what's wrong.

Honestly the best care team and doctors I've come across! I had a procedure and ended up having to stay one night unexpectedly! The care I received was amazing! Thank you to Jessica in the surgical wing, Danielle and Gab on the third floor along with anyone else I may have missed!
