Dr. Robert Benton is the Chief of Cardiology at Samaritan Hospital and is Past President of the Medical Staff. Dr. Benton is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In addition he is certified in the subspecialties of Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Echocardiography. He has earned the title of Certified Physician Investigator from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. As the Director of the Capital Cardiology Associates, PC, Division of Clinical Research, Dr. Benton has participated in approximately 30 clinical trials in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

I, Betty A. Jones have been going to Dr. Benton for over 25 years. He was my favorite Dr's, he was kind, great sense of humor always smiling and down to earth. He listen to you and I with my Southern charm did not sugar coat anything. I told it just like it was. You could ask him anything. My personal experience was he a great Dr. and I am going to miss him.
Dr. Benton is a one of a kind doctor. This may sound crazy but every time I go for my yearly checkup, I never want to leave his office lol. He's that down to earth and he shows that he really cares for his patients. I'm going to miss him so much when he retires. I did ask him to keep my contact so we can hit the links and he said he would. Can't wait!!
