Dr. O'Brien is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology as well as Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He has completed the Special Competency Examination in Cardiac Pacing and Defibrillation offered by the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. Dr. O'Brien is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albany Medical College, the Director of Cardiac Arrythmia Services at Capital Cardiology Associates and is an attending electrophysiologist at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Dr. O'Brien's cardiology specialities included general cardiovascular disease with a special interest in arrhythmia management with emphasis on catheter ablation, device therapy including cardiac defibrillator and pacemaker implantation.

Took my daughter to see Dr. O'Brien and we had a positive experience. Dr. O'Brien is thorough, patient, listens and responds with a genuine desire to help. He was great with my daughter and was able to quickly get her talking about her symptoms which isn't always easy. We left feeling more confident that we could get her feeling better soon.
Been w/ CC for about 35 yrs. Seen the good the bad and the ugly. Dr. Obrien is high on the list-10 out of 10. Thorough, knowledgeable, and very personable. Even though I'm on a once a year visit schedule, I'm hoping he'll be the person I see. At going on 82 changing docs is never easy. I have nothing against the Nurse Practioner that apparently you're bringing on, as I have 2 friends that are NPs. However, I thoroughly trust Dr. Obrien and I've built a great relationship with him. My husband was referred to Dr. O'Brien by his cardiologist. Dr. O'Brien was great. Having never met him, he was pleasant, thorough and explained everything. The entire staff was wonderful.
Dr. O'Brien and staff were excellent . Dr. O' Brien took time to answer all of my questions and I would refer my friends to him anytime!
