Artesia General Hospital

I recently went in for my first mamo. I had not been looking forward to it at all, more like dreading it in fact. The staff was friendly and the tech was a pro. She really made it a simple process and made me feel completely at ease, well, as at ease as you can be in that situation anyway. She told me what to expect every step of the way and it didn't take long at all and there was way less discomfort than I had anticipated. Highly reccomend.

Very rude. Only hospital that cant help find family when your 500 miles away the closest relative. Says you have to go in person. I would understand a psychiatric patient, but not a patient that showed up with heart failure. Funny that hippa law is the same everywhere but not here. Uhmmm yah. Thanks. Would add 0 buts not an option. I pray my uncle doesn't die before we can find him!!!!!

I had not shared any reviews of my healthcare service because I was so pleased with my interaction with Dr Baca, his staff and my treatment. I had had a year-long wait just to try to get in and see an orthopedic surgeon for the tremendous pain I was having in my ankle. I was bemoaning my fate to my daughter who lives in Artesia, who then suggested that although I live in Silver City, I would be treated right if I spent the 5 hours driving over to artesia. She was not wrong! At 75 years of age I have had some great doctors and great nurses, and some that really did not listen or relate to my concerns or condescended when I asked questions. That did not happen with Dr Baca and his staff. They listen to my concerns and that's where great care begins. Maybe I caught them on their best days, but I doubt it!

Will basically commit insurance fraud. Turned me into to debt collectors for 10,000 dollars, of which I only owed 300 dollars. Avoid this hospital at all cost. Continues to give me the complete run around and modifying my debt from 10,000 to 666 with debt collectors after promising to take my debt off and allowing me to pay through the portal. Now I am waiting 30 days for them to maybe fix it for real this time. You may be actually better off risking the Carlsbad Hospital.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Shyamal Pansuriya, his office staff, and the AGH O.R. team. Following my recent emergency surgery, the entire staff demonstrated exceptional kindness, professionalism, and compassion. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and proper healing. AGH is truly a blessing to our small community.
