Patient
The cardiologist so far is great (Dr Viswanath). He Listens to my concerns and gave me options and truly cared about my concerns. The office itself needs some work. I did a 2 week holter monitor and needless to say when I sent messages via patient portal that I couldn't find results I was told I can only get them at my follow up which the earliest was 2 months later. At my follow up I find out they have no results for the 2 week holter that was completed Oct 1st. I am being treated for SVT and if the doc can catch the rhythm we will have better idea for proper treatment. I'm waiting in office for my follow up and lo and behold I go into the rapid heart rate in the waiting room. I know they are very busy but I go to the desk just trying to get someone to get an EKG. I don't need to skip to front of line (I was next anyway) I just needed someone to catch it before it went away. I sat in SVT for 12 minutes waiting for "a room to open " as they called 4 more people to the back (again I know they are busy I just wanted the EKG so the doc could see what I keep having). At the 15 minute mark I get called back now my rhythm has resolved so the only thing I was able to do is show the cardiologist the result on My smart phone which captures the rate im real time and a small segment of the rhythm when I thought to hit the EKG app. Im just so disappointed that someone couldn't help me at the time it was happening. I still would have waited for my actual turn but the EKG would have helped my treatment.
