Patient Reviews

Very impressed and happy with Dr Mirwais and team. Incredibly comprehensive review of symptoms and long discussion of options available to me. He and his Nurse Practitioner spent almost an hour with me. Never spoke down to me. Treated me like a concerned patient and was very compassionate. Was pretty matter of fact. Answered every question and put me at ease.

Cardiology Associates of Princeton has some talented doctors, but my experience with their billing policies left a lot to be desired. After a major surgery that cost over $20,000--plus countless follow-up visits and tests over the course of the year, all of which I paid for--my account was suddenly put on "frozen" status because I still owed $700. That amount was left over after my insurance paid what it would. What happened next really shocked me: when I tried to schedule a follow-up appointment for the stent they'd placed in my heart, the office staff flat-out refused to let me do so until the entire $700 was paid off, in full. I explained my situation and made it clear that while I intended to pay every cent, I simply couldn't afford the whole payment at once. They didn't care. The answer was still no--no payment, no appointment. The bottom line is, I was shut out of my own medical care over an unpaid balance, despite having already paid tens of thousands of dollars. I'm now forced to find a new cardiologist, all because of a remaining balance that, in the grand scheme of things, is small compared to what I'd already paid them. To me, this makes it painfully obvious where their priorities lie. Their policies and actions show that money comes before patient care. I never thought I'd see a medical office deny someone critical follow-up care over a balance like this, but that's exactly what happened. The message is clear: at Cardiology Associates of Princeton, your health takes a back seat to your wallet.

Be aware: Cardiology Associates of Princeton charges patients for sharing test results via a forced video call. What concerns me: 1. I was never informed beforehand that the video call would incur a separate fee. 2. I've never been charged by any provider for simply sharing test results - especially when no follow-up or diagnosis was involved. I feel it is not appropriate to charge extra for a communication regarding results that I'm entitled to receive as part of my care. I called and even emailed to explain why I felt the charge was unfair, but their response was curt and dismissive. My call was abruptly cut-off, very unprofessional and disappointing. No resolution offered - I was told that I had to pay. Patients please ask up front: * Will there be a charge for follow-up calls or results sharing? * Are video consultations billed separately? We deserve transparency, respect, and fairness in our care.

I read all the awful reviews sounds like 2 different offices. The one I go to where they notify me before my appointment. The staff is always polite and helpful and I never have a long wait. And I love Dr. Malingerham. She explains everything and I really feel that she wants the best for me. I thank her all the time.
