My mom has been a patient of Dr. Shah for about a year now and we both are very happy with the doctor's expertise, attention and bedside manner. Dr. Shah and the staff are very pleasant, professional, attentive and caring. We have been in 2 offices- Jersey City and Nutley and the wait time is usually about 15-20 mins, which is totally fine. My mom got her vein ablation procedures and an ultrasound done just in the last few weeks and she is happy with the outcome. We are grateful to Dr. Shah and also wanted to express our appreciation to the team, medical technicians and receptionists. We recommend Apex Laser Vein center for anyone who needs any vein treatments, medical or cosmetic.

This office does not take the patient's time into consideration. I am an IT Director because of my busy schedule I seldom take time off. I used to use Summit Medical for my healthcare needs but they had a 3 month window for a cardiologist. I saw Dr. Shah at APEX had availability within 3 weeks and booked the appointment. First thing I noticed was the small waiting room and how cramped everyone was (literally elbow to elbow). I decided to wait outside until my name was called. My appointment time was 1pm and was seen by 1:30pm (not too bad). After the nurse takes my vitals she tells me that Dr. Shah is not in and would I like to see another Dr? I specifically requested Dr. Shah when I made the appointment, why would I want to see anyone else. I ended up agreeing to seeing a different Dr. because at this point, what was I supposed to d, take another day off? The replacement Dr was knowledgeable but I prefer older doctors who have been practicing for 10 years +, not a doctor who looks like they just graduated a few years prior. Dr schedules me for a echo the following week which I showed up for 15 mins early. I sat over an hour in the waiting room waiting to be seen. I inquired with the ladies at reception multiple times but they were of no help. After 1h 15 mins of waiting I tell the receptionist to cancel my appointment and I'm leaving and to not reschedule since I will not be coming back. My wife calls the office to speak to the Office Manager to complain about my situation. To our surprise the office manager is arguing with us and is speaking over us not giving us a chance to speak. Fast forward 7/31/23 I get a call from Dr. Shah's office and am speaking to another office manager who says Dr. Shah would like to discuss what happened the prior week. The office manager puts me on hold and comes back telling me Dr. Shah is on another call and he'll have to call back. This is exactly what I'm talking about. They do not take the patient's schedule into consideration and constantly blow you off. What they fail to realize is that this is also about customer service. And the service I received was well below average. The lack of professionalism and organization is not something you want from a Dr.'s office. I'll wait the 3 months and stick with Summit Medical Group. I wasn't going to leave a review but the follow up phone call from the Dr was icing on the cake for me. Thumbs down on APEX Cardiovascular

Patient

I supposedly had a blocked artery and stent inserted in my upper leg by Dr Shah but my problem was not getting blood circulation in my lower leg due to smoking. Other cardiologists I have seen never once said I needed stents. I cannot stress enough for patients to get a second doctor's opinion to avoid unnecessary procedures!!

Patient

Please avoid this place. This is the worst doctors office I've been to. The employees are so RUDE. There is no communication between the person who call you to confirm your appointment and the front desk. Inside is old and dirty. What a waist of time!

terrible doctor, not a surprise
