Stuart E. Shulruff, MD

I met Dr. Shulruff after being admitted through the ER for palpitations. I honestly did not expect to like him based on how he came across a long time ago. The years have softened him in a good way. While I was in the hospital, he ordered the necessary tests and had me discharged once the doppler came back as clear. I had a follow-up appointment in his office shortly after I was discharged. The staff did their jobs well. I was encouraged to hear the palpitations were not because of something wrong with my heart. I was diagnosed with latrogenic [doctor induced] hyperthyroidism. It's scary to know that there is a diagnosis for when a doctor caused the problem. Both Dr. Shulruff and I will be very happy to never see each other again. But if the need arises, he will be the one I ask for.

Extremely condescending and rude! Called regarding my father's hypertension with BPs in the 180/110s expressing concerns about his medications. Prescribed $800/month meds that made his BPs worse and he is clearly looking to make a profit versus help someone with uncontrolled HT. He said to figure it out on our own and that he will no longer take care of him. I will probably turn to the NJ medical board and an attorney for medical malpractice.

A very competent staff greets Dr. Wang & Dr. Shilruff's cardiac patients. Paperwork! Their lifeblood. Questioneers! The same questions as the last five times! If you have been processed here, you move on! The surroundings are your classic waiting room. Library style chairs are reasonably comfortable. Not as nice as my lounge chair at home. There is TV to break the monotony. Once we arr called into the inner sanctum, we see a Beehive of exam-consult rooms. Small!!! You and only one staff/doctor. Your spouse or friend that came with you must wait in the waiting room. Tech runs an EKG strip. Nice lady! Tells you NOTHING. Now sit and wait. And wait. And wait. Finally see your doctor. I like Doctor Wang. This is important for ME! He is trustworthy and honest. A straight shooter. Medical tests like EKG and Nuclear Stress are run in his office. I have more visits scheduled. I can tell you more, later.

First time coming to this group. Nothing but a positive experience from scheduling appointment to the actual visit. From desk staff are all extremely nice and helpful. Office was clean and the doctor spent a nice amount of time with me. Highly recommend if you are in need of a cardiologist.

Honestly, if I could give no stars for Dr. Shulruff I would. He has no bed side manners, and I left the office thinking I was going to die. Thank gosh for his nurse who made me feel a little bit better. He pretty much told me bc of heart condition I may not be able to have any more kids, weaken heart muscles, a heart murmur, and there were a few more things. Who says that to someone just from an ekg! He never explained anything. So glad I am done with that office.
