I have had an excellent clinical experience with Dr. Mahoney, and also appreciate the office staff (that works very hard). Dr. Mahoney is knowledgeable and communicative. As is his lead nurse. His office is well run, appointments go as scheduled and the follow-up is generally good. Feedback The only issue I have had is billing-related. The company that handles the billing does not properly apply cash (they apply payments to the most recent invoice first, irrespective of which invoice the payment relates to). As a result, there can be mass confusion in periods in which there are many visits and invoices. I went through a lengthy process to prove that the invoices had in fact been paid and to help understand how to apply the related payments. Not only do they regularly misapply cash, they are not very easy to work with. Update I'm updating my review, based on additional experience, with no change in 5-star rating and have the following feedback. I recently began working with Dr. Mahoney's "a-fib team." The entire team is outstanding; they are very competent, responsive, good listeners, and both caring and kind. They are a pleasure to work with. On-call doctors - the on-call doctors are fine, but interactions are perhaps somewhat rushed. Appointments - the scheduling/rescheduling process is sometimes difficult due to staff that are not smooth and somewhat "snippy."
