I have had an excellent clinical experience with Dr. Mahoney, and also appreciate the office staff (that works very hard). Dr. Mahoney is knowledgeable and communicative. As is his lead nurse. His office is well run, appointments go as scheduled and the follow-up is generally good. Feedback The only issue I have had is billing-related. The company that handles the billing does not properly apply cash (they apply payments to the most recent invoice first, irrespective of which invoice the payment relates to). As a result, there can be mass confusion in periods in which there are many visits and invoices. I went through a lengthy process to prove that the invoices had in fact been paid and to help understand how to apply the related payments. Not only do they regularly misapply cash, they are not very easy to work with. Update I'm updating my review, based on additional experience, with no change in 5-star rating and have the following feedback. I recently began working with Dr. Mahoney's "a-fib team." The entire team is outstanding; they are very competent, responsive, good listeners, and both caring and kind. They are a pleasure to work with. On-call doctors - the on-call doctors are fine, but interactions are perhaps somewhat rushed. Appointments - the scheduling/rescheduling process is sometimes difficult due to staff that are not smooth and somewhat "snippy."

dr Mahoney as well as the rest of the staff office are absolutely stellar! I've been going there since 2017, and I would never go anywhere else. I would scratch and claw to get to Morristown medical Center for their care. I've been through a lot with my ticker, and I can guarantee you that they will do everything they can to help you.

I have been considering an ablation for my heart palpitations. I made an appointment to see Dr Mahoney on 9/26. Shortly before this appointment, the office called to reschedule to 10/4. Then it got pushed back to 10/10 at 8 am. There were zero apologies from the staff for either occurrence, only that he wouldn't be available. Then2 days before my appointment, it was pushed back 12:45 pm, again with no apologies. Then they cancelled my appointment day-of because they never received my records. Why did no one notify me prior to let me know that the records had not yet arrived- I would have reach out and picked up my records in person if necessary. Next available appointment isn't until December, but I wasted my last sick day for the cancelled appointment. I am highly disappointed with this office and will not be rescheduling my appointment. I will find another provider.

Dr Mahoney is excellent and very professional. He explains everything to my husband! He goes above and beyond for his patients. Excellent surgeon!! Would recommend to everyone! Being a nurse we know when a doctor is excellent, he is!!

Dr. Mahoney is absolutely amazing! He is kind, considerate, listens to everything you have to say and has perfect bedside manner (also very funny too). Now let's not forget what an incredible Doctor he is. I have HCM and have had open heart and a mechanical valve and an assorted other goodies which included extreme afib and that is where Dr. Mahoney comes in. With his care... a fabulous ablation and loop... he has changed my quality of life. I can not thank him enough for everything! Do not think twice about going to see him... he is there for you and he will help you! I also applaud his entire staff... they are kind, considerate, friendly and always willing to help! Go with confidence!!! Thanks to everyone!!!! Oh... one more thing... Dr. Mahoney and family adopted a one eye Pitbull... does that tell you how wonderful his family is!!!!
