Patient
I had an absolutely excellent experience with Dr. Mahoney and his team at Gagnon. From check-in, to pre-op, to post-op, to Gagnon A, and to food and beverage ... the facility (including the patient room), provider, and staff were outstanding overall. We are so grateful. It was a pleasure and I would highly recommend Dr. Mahoney and his team and Gagnon. Feedback Notwithstanding a very strong overall review, I have the following feedback. Pre-procedure instructions - given the prevalence of GLP1s and considering it can be a gating factor for scheduling and clearance, I suggest the team consider updating the pre-procedure instructions accordingly. Patient cost estimate - I have had four procedures at MMC/OMC over the last year, and I needed to chase down the patient cost estimate every time (which might require several calls). I suggest that a preliminary estimate be provided automatically after scheduling. Check-in - the representative described the co-pay and deductible as a required pre-pay. I don't think that is legally accurate, and as a practical matter, some patients prefer to see the evidence of benefits statement before paying. Mahoney - Dr. Mahoney did not personally visit me after the procedure or before discharge. In addition, the notes were of limited communicative value (I think they are more-so written for risk management purposes). Rothstein - his bedside manner falls short. PAs - Kerry was amazing, exceptionally good, with some of the best bedside manner I have ever seen anywhere. Keri was very good as well. Alexa was very good, but could be less rushed, receive questions better, and could have better bedside manner. Pre-Op - Colleen was a very strong professional, as well as friendly and kind. Post-Op - Amanda was awesome. She seems newer to the team, I think, but has very high potential. She is thorough as well as caring and kind. Just my opinions here.
