Medicor Cardiology

I am a new patient at Medicor. I met Dr. Archana Patel when I was a patient at RWJ New Brunswick. She was very comforting and reassuring. Even though I am a new patient since January 2025, I feel very comfortable and at home with Dr. Patel, nurses and staff at Medicor. They are the BEST! Thank you for all you do!

Dr Prag Patel is great and so is his PA Amy, however the administrative staff is TERRIBLE. Good luck trying to schedule an appointment. For the most part they suffer from poor and unprofessional attitudes. Were it not for Dr Patel, I would have left a long time ago!

Everything was going great with regular checkups with my wife until we actually had an emergency out of the country. My wife is a patient of Dr. Parag Patel. While traveling in Turkey she had a cardiac arrest and was rushed to the Emergency room of a local hospital. She was admitted to the ICU and the doctors recommended urgent procedures to be performed. We called Medicor Cardiology to discuss what the doctors in Istanbul were suggesting and get advice as Dr Patel knew her case. I spoke with Christina at the office and was told that Dr. Patel was unavailable. So I asked if some other covering doctor can speak with us. She told me that none of the doctors at this group can talk to any patient or family members while they are out of the country. In a matter of life and death emergency we were left at the mercy of other country medical staff. We never even got a call back from anyone at the group inquiring about the welfare of their patient. I feel if we are trusting this group with the lives of our loved ones, their responsibility is to support them during such life threatening emergencies. This group is great as long as they can bill you for their minutes spent. But when it come to welfare of their patients, they will leave them high and dry to die in any country or situation. I am never going back to this group and suggest everyone else to think twice before putting your lives into the hand of such unprofessional doctor who only care about the bills and not for their patients.

I chose Medicore in Bridgewater and Somerset through the VAHCS three years ago. The entire staff is top notch in both patient services and care. I had open heart surgery and was attended to by Medicore for pre and post-op at Somerset Morristown Hospitals. Qualified Veterans should consider using this RWJ group. I found that the nearby blood testing group I was directed to would not work with VA Health Care System so I got it done at the VA.
