The staff is fabulous. The office is fabulous you go and you never have to wait they take such good care of you. I am shocked to read some of the negative reviews for this practice. I've been seeing my cardiologist, Steven Daniels, MD, since 2018. I had switched from another practice in Brick, NJ. At the time, my blood pressure was erratic and I needed a third blood pressure medicine on a temporary basis. My previous cardiologist refused to give it to me, so my pressure was uncontrolled for a while. That's when I switched to Monmouth Cardiology. Dr Daniels immediately prescribed the third blood pressure medicine. I only needed it for a month or two, until my blood pressure was controlled again. I've been very happy with Dr Daniels and haven't had any complaints about the staff. I do admit there are times when I've encountered long wait times before seeing the doctor, but I'm not in any hurry. Both me and my husband see Dr Daniels since 2018. The one thing I find disconcerting is when going to the Freehold office, I never know whether the doctor will be on the first or second floor. Invariably, I go to the wrong floor and have to go to the other floor instead. Since these offices are a long walk from the elevator, it takes me a while to get there.

I am the person who never writes negative reviews, but I would not recommend Monmouth Cardiology, based on 2 recent testing experiences. It literally took 2 weeks to get basic test results, even though the doctor had signed off on them 2 days after testing was done. I used their portal to ask about results, to no avail. Calling there 8 days after testing resulted in very long wait times--the phone system is definitely messed up--and when someone did return my phone call, they said I needed to wait for the results even though the doctor had signed off on them days prior to this. So I finally got results 2 weeks after testing, from a staff member--not the doctor--and even though the initial medical reason for the testing was not resolved and is still showing up on the tests and I had questions, I was told after the second test that if my condition worsened, I should call back. This was my first experience with a cardiologist, and it will be my last one with Monmouth Cardiology. The individual people I met in both the Freehold and Eatontown offices were nice, and they seemed competent, but the office management and automated phone system are awful. It should not take 2 weeks to get the results of an echocardiogram...and I had 2 echocardiograms, with the same experience both times. In neither case did I get to speak to the doctor.

Monmouth Cardiology has grown too large and too corporate to be a wise choice for quality cardiac care anymore. I have been a patient of theirs since 2010. Doctor Berger was my primary cardiologist for 13 years, but due to personal reasons he retired. Since then Monmouth Cardiology has put me with a couple of doctors and this most recent experience was the worst! It was with DR. ZUCKERMAN. This doctor walks in after keeping me waiting for a half an hour in the exam room and immediately says "I have no idea why you're here nor why they scheduled you with me". He then says he's going to assign me to a different doctor so I asked him for a couple of names and he said to me,and I quote:"DOES IT MATTER?" Well, YES, Doctor Zuckerman, it DOES matter! I want to make sure I don't get someone as bad as you next time. This doctor and the practice have made me question whether to continue my 13 year relationship with them. They have gone downhill because of all of their corporatizing. They are forgetting that it's the patients, that makes the practice. STOP GROWING THE BUSINESS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PATIENTS!

This place is awful. Some of the receptionists are nice, but many of the older ones seem like they despise their jobs and are acting like they're working at a fast food restaurant... When I went for my first time, I was scheduled to see Dr O'Neill. I was shown to my room 10 after my scheduled appointment, and promptly got my EKG with the (nurse?). After that, it went downhill so much, I will never be returning. On a THURSDAY at around noon, I had to wait over an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time to actually see Dr. O'Neill. I actually had to go up to the front desk and ask them what was going on. They said that he's with a patient and will get to you when he gets to you, and was brushed off back into my room. Honestly, I'm almost positive they forgot about me and the guy just never came for almost two hours. In my book, that is some of the worst job you can do. I have never even had to wait that long at a hospital. But once the O'Neill guy came in (I feel like I shouldn't even call him a doctor, because he's not), I was given some of the coldest responses and lack of insight for such an important appointment for me. He told me My heart murmurs weren't anything serious because the ekg told him so, and that my severe pain in chest is like nothing. What??????? I even had to make suggestions as to what it even could've been for him to either agree or disagree with me. What a joke. He ended up giving me the runaround that probably makes him the most money, because he scheduled me for three more follow up appointments because he's so incompetent and needs a heart monitor, echocardiogram and a stress test that HE doesn't even do to figure out what's going on. This place is absolutely awful, and feel so strongly about giving this place a bad review. I'm sure there are doctors here that are better, but shame on you for conducting yourselves in a way that was unprofessional, a waste of my time and insincere. Please don't go to this place,
