Patient Reviews

Patient

I was greatly disappointed by the customer care that I received by the Physician Assistant, Melody Tillyer at the Summit Medical Group. I had a stress test scheduled by my cardiologist at 4pm. As I was driving, I was experiencing traffic and so I called the office since this ride would be taking at least an hour to get there. I explained to the receptionist that there was traffic but I should be arriving at approximately 4:11 per my gps. The person that I spoke to on the phone said that it was fine because there was a 15 minute grace period. I rushed and arrived inside the building at 4:13pm. I entered the cardiology suite at 4:15. After I checked in, I was informed that the PA, Melody Tillyer, could not perform the stress test because I did not arrive in time. I proceeded to inform her that I arrived through the door at 4:15pm but actually arrived in the building at 4:13pm. I told her if you do not believe me ask security for the video of me coming into the building or walking into the suite because I was not making this up. Melody was cowardly in the back relaying messages to the receptionist to say that I arrived at 4:16. This was not true but as I stated, I arrived in the building at 4:13pm. The office was informed that I was coming in at 3:50pm when I called. Furthermore, I could not wrap my head around the fact that a dispute was going on over ONE MINUTE! It was not like no one was wondering whether I would show or not. I wanted to speak to Melody so she could explain to me why she could not perform the stress test when I arrived BEFORE the grace period. I was told that Melody Tillyer could not come out because she was busy with her last patient. It sounded like the patient before me was still there which made this decision not to see me even more infuriating. The receptionist then said that she was busy at the moment because she was consumed with paperwork. I explained that we are ALL busy and no one's time should be looked upon as more valuable than another's. The laziness and incompetence of Melody Tillyer did not sit well with me. There was absolutely zero concern for my care and retaining me as a patient? Can you imagine the lawsuit that she and the entire summit medical group would have faced, if I happened to have a cardiac episode that day and the stress test would have prevented it? If you think she cares about patient relations, then I will let you decide. I know I will never allow myself to be seen or tested by Melody Tillyer ever! Too bad I can't give her a ZERO star!
