Optum Primary Care - Bayonne

Very clean polite and efficient staff doctors are thorough and show interest in your health getting you healthier I am glad I found Optima healthcare facility

This Optum location - its front office staff, nurses and PA's/Dr's are the Absolute BEST - they are beyond caring, helpful, respond to whatever help & information I need. I CAN'T say enough positive about any & all of them. NOW - the phone call in group (call center) - is the WORST. They are never any help, multiple calls later, the run around - never the same contact person & never any help in getting last minute prescriptions or visits sorted out. THIS is the one aspect of OPTUM that is TERRIBLE.

I visited Md Ramos hoping to get to the root of my daily issue, which I've been experiencing for nearly a month. I came prepared to advocate for myself and requested blood work to check for possible hormone imbalances or deficiencis that can be causing my health issues..Unfortunately, I felt dismissed. Rather than listening to my full concerns, the doctor quickly ruled out and offered medication quickly!! even though I didn't ask for it and was trying to avoid jumping straight to medication. I had to insist just to get basic blood work like thyroid and cortisol levels checked which i felt i need more to check for vitamin deficiency. I believe patients deserve to be heard and taken seriously, especially when dealing with ongoing symptoms that affect daily life. I left the appointment feeling frustrated and unsupported.

Dr. Ramos is an excellent physician. I was very satisfied with the care I received. I highly recommend Dr. Ramos

I've been seeing Dr. Khalid for a few years now, started when she was seeing patients in Rutherford. She is an amazing cardiologist. To the extent that I continued to see her even though it costs me $80 round trip to see her in Bayonne. Sadly, the administrative team is simply horrid, uncaring and unresponsive. No one is accountable. I asked for a medication refill on Monday, April 14th, it was not addressed until a week later. The insurance denied coverage (mind you I have been on it since Sept 2023) and I am still waiting on any kind of answer from anyone. Two emails and about 10 calls later, I even told the person who took my call today, in tears, that I promised to stop being a patient there if someone would just respond to me. This is no way to treat anyone, especially a medical provider.
