We were stunned by how poorly High Risk Pregnancy Center handled a situation that required even a hint of compassion. Yes, we were running late, and we owned that every single step of the way, but what happened next was completely unacceptable. My wife is 38 weeks pregnant and high risk due to her bicornuate uterus. This appointment wasn't routine; it was an important late term scan. As soon as we realized we were cutting it close, we called while already on our way to let them know in real time that we were coming and only minutes out. We were communicating and doing everything possible to get there. Despite that, they called us back ,before the 10 minute grace window had even expired, and told us the appointment would need to be rescheduled. We hadn't technically missed the appointment yet. And the only date they offered was AFTER her due date, which makes absolutely no sense. When we called back to ask if there was any flexibility, the office manager, Griselda Garcia, took what began as a calm, respectful, advocacy driven conversation and escalated it into something hostile. I offered multiple reasonable alternatives: getting just the scan, shortening the appointment, staying a few minutes late, anything to make sure our baby was safe. She dismissed every option, grew abrasive, and ultimately said, "If you're not here in 2 minutes, don't bother coming in." No solutions. No compassion. No attempt to help the very patients this clinic exists to serve. When I gently pointed out how aggressive her tone had become, she softened only in voice, not in willingness to help. Her stance never changed. Thirty minutes later, she called back and said she had spoken with the doctor and our OB and could fit us in next week. Not that day, but the following week. And when she called my wife, she made sure to say, "I wasn't rude to your husband," which added nothing except defensiveness. This was especially disappointing because every previous visit had been positive. We genuinely preferred this office over our actual OB until this interaction erased that trust. At a practice like this, the wellbeing of the mother and baby should always come before the clock. If the schedule is treated as more important than patient safety, something is seriously out of alignment.

The High Risk Pregnancy Center in Reno provides outstanding care! Every staff member I encountered was professional, compassionate, and very friendly, making each visit a positive experience. The doctors took the time to clearly explain every procedure, lab work, and ongoing check-up, ensuring that both baby and mom were always well-informed and comfortable. It's evident that they truly care about family health and go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. I am very grateful for the quality of care we received here. Highly recommend this clinic!

First of all I'd like to say that Lizette and the MA's and the techs in the back are amazing, super friendly, and caring. However, the front desk is completely different! They don't even greet you when you walk in they just ask for your name. Whatever, fine. But the girl that does that scheduling is very unprofessional! Has no customer service at all! Doesn't explain anything to you such as what appointments are being scheduled And dares to laugh when you're upset. This pregnancy has been an emotional rollercoaster and having to be monitored twice a week while working full time and trying to make everything work to make sure baby is healthy has been very stressful. And they do not care! They don't show any compassion whatsoever! I needed to reschedule a couple appointments and told them in advance and she refused to work with me. They need to hire better staff instead of those young girls that don't have any professionalism or compassion towards expecting mothers that are already going through enough having a high risk pregnancy.

I didn't know what to expect when coming to a risk risk center as scary as it sounded, but as soon as I entered to check in, every single staff member, INCLUDING the front desk receptionists (especially Naomi), were all just soooo warming & professional. Everyone definitely made me more at ease while also including my partner. & that alone means a whole lot. I thank everyone for being a part of our journey into welcoming our baby!
