When I first met Dr. Fonte I found him a bit brusque and dismissive. However, I've come to realize while he may not be the hand-holding type, he is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and up to date on the best technology and practices. And let's face it, if you need a cardiologist you definitely want to have a doctor who will steer you toward the best possible treatments. After landing in the ER with a cardiac problem, I was surprised to look up and see Dr. Fonte walk into my ER holding room. He briefly assessed my explanations (along with ER doctors/data)--and again, not the hand-holding type so he may come off as dismissive, but he got right down to business. I've grown to have tremendous respect for his work and the fact that he obviously takes the time to stay up to date with the ever-developing/best technology and drug treatments for cardiology. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or family.

I went to Dr fonte on a recommendation, I knew I had a heart problem and went to see him. What a cold individual. Without doing a thorough exam he looked at some test results that I supplied walked out of office and scheduled a stress test. Well I got a second opinion and had an angioplasty done, I have a major blockage and need surgery. I can only imagine what would have happened during the stress test. I asked the second doctor went over the same report I supplied Dr Fonte and asked no stress test, OH NO!! Your heart is enlarged would never do a stress test. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!! If you see him certainly get a second opinion, or he just might kill you. Thanks Doctor, I told the person who recommended me and they are also looking for another doctor.

I was a patient back on 2021, and I called Dr Fontes' office with concerns about some recent testing and was told I could not get seen without a referral from a PCP. I'm between PCPs and my insurance does not require a referral for specialists. The receptionist was being needlessly difficult, and puts me in a position of having to find a new Cardiologist. Dr Fontes closed all my varicose veins in 2021, and when he was working on one I had a sharp pain in my gut. He dismissed my concern as "anxiety," but I actually had severe stomach lining damage from another issue. If you like being dismissed by rude people, then he's the Cardiologist for you!

Dr Fonte has been treating my husbamd for the past year and I couldn't love the care and time he is shown and given. The staff is amazing!! Especially Denisse! As a nervous spouse it's so hard to sit and wait for your loved one and she is always extremely.sweet. i appreciate it so much.

It is hard to find a doctor who values the patient/doctor relationship anymore. Most are "eat better, lose weight, exercise more" see me back in months. Yes, all those things are good for your overall health but I feel like it can be an excuse to not try to find any other underlying issues. I was referred due to high BP and concern of family history of strokes. Dr. Fonte and staff have always made me feel comfortable, that they really care about helping me become well again. Thank you to Dr. Fonte and all his wonderful staff.
