Both options require continued for life of similar Medications. I choose medications as they can be modified. He has an excellent PA which saves money with a routine visit. Consumer's Report questions the value of stent. I am getting wrist monitor of health parameters as heath rate. My resting heart rate is 50 to 60 beats/min. Above a certain number it means the heart pumps less blood above that number. In my case the number is 115 to 120 beats/minute. Above that number, my heart rate increases comparatively rapidly with continued intensity of exercise. A certain tread mill with heart monitor was an excellent means to determining the maximum recommended heart rate for me. Above this rate the electrocardiogram heart signal changes and in this particular treadmill it does not give a heart rate. Two decades ago, I conditioned my heart over about a year where I did not need to be concerned about the intensity of exercise and was able to drop all medications. Surgery two decades ago verified that there was a 40% occlusion of the left ventricle which is the reason, I did not get a stent or bypass then.
