Today I had a surgical procedure done at Mosaic, and I want to talk about the care I received, because, WOW.
The nurse who walked me back after check-in was named Wendy. Yes, like the restaurant. She made sure we all knew that . She was genuinely funny, kind, and made sure I was settled and comfortable right away.
The nurse who started my IV and took care of me before surgery also had an excellent sense of humor, which I desperately needed because I was pretty nervous. She looked over my chart and casually reminded me that since I had a way more serious operation done three weeks ago, this recovery would be nothing like that. Bless her for that alone.
I already knew the surgeon, Dr. Amspacher, was fantastic because I have met him a couple of times, but he still took the time to stop in, mark everything, check in with me, and make sure my husband and I felt good about the plan and had no questions. Calm, confident, and reassuring.
The anesthesiology team deserves a special shout-out. Three weeks ago, when I went under anesthesia, I panicked right beforehand because no one was talking to me. They were just...putting me under. This time, I asked that someone talk to me. Whoever the anesthesiologist's assistant was, I am terrible with names, he absolutely showed up. In the OR, he could tell I was still anxious, so he held my hand . That is the last thing I remember.
Less than an hour later, I woke up in recovery with a gentle nurse who made sure I was comfortable and reunited me with my husband as quickly as possible.
I may not remember everyone's name, but every single person who cared for me today deserves recognition. The compassion, professionalism, and humanity I experienced were incredible. They answered their calling, and this patient is beyond impressed.

I am beyond grateful for the compassion and care I've received from Mosaic Life Care over the years. I was a patient at this facility for many years, and every single time, the doctors and nurses treated me with kindness, respect, and a true willingness to help. Their dedication and professionalism made all the difference in my health journey.
I also want to extend my deepest thanks on behalf of my family. My mother was extremely anemic, and Mosaic Life Care literally saved her life. She received a blood transfusion here and experienced a complete turnaround. We will never forget the care, urgency, and support the entire team provided during such a critical time.
Thank you, Mosaic Life Care, for all that you've done for me and my loved ones. Your compassion, skill, and dedication mean the world to us.

Worst hospital ever. Fell and broke my nose. Sat in the ER waiting room for over 2 hours bleeding nonstop. Tell nurse I'm getting really dizzy and feel like I'm going to pass out. They take my vitals 4 times and my blood pressure was 160/115 the or if 4 times. The fourth time it was 150/90 and told me my vitals look fine. I don't know how this hospital is even still in business being this worthless.

I just want to say a huge thank you to the amazing team at Mosaic Life Care -- the doctors, surgeons, nurses, techs, dietary, and housekeeping staff -- everyone I encountered was so kind, skilled, and genuinely caring.
As a nursing home administrator, I know nobody wants to be a patient, and I definitely didn't plan on it -- especially with a facility to run and four kiddos at home. But you all made a tough time a little easier.
Huge thanks to the ER team and Dr. Long's crew for acting fast and getting me through surgery -- and to the awesome 5 East staff who took such great care of me while I recovered. They even encouraged us to throw a little 1st birthday party for my daughter right there at the hospital since I couldn't be home, which honestly meant so much.
Healthcare isn't easy, and I seriously admire the way you all show up and do it every day!
All my best,
Beth

Following a procedure last year, Mosaic's billing has been absolutely outrageous. At one point, both their patient portal and their payment plan partner ClearBalance showed a $14,000 balance, and I was receiving past-due notices on both accounts, even though the balance was completely incorrect. After months of follow-up they finally reprocessed the accounts, but now claim I owe $9,000, even though my insurance confirmed my responsibility is $6,000 and I have already paid $1,000. No one at Mosaic can or has explained the extra $3,000, or show where my payments were applied.
I have called multiple times and was told last month to wait until mid-September for processing. Yet despite acknowledging the balance isn't final, I continue receiving past-due notices and am being pressured to set up a payment plan before the account is corrected. This is not just frustrating, it is mismanagement, negligence and potentially a violation of patient billing protections.
Patients should not have to fight this hard to get an accurate, honest statement of what they truly owe. Mosaic's handling of this account has been completely unacceptable from start to finish, and anyone seeking care here should be warned about the billing nightmare they may face.
