Pediatric Cardiology of Springfield | Children's Mercy

Was referred here by Cox. Made the appointment through text. No instructions given. No confirmation email. Intake forms were sent via text. Completed the forms. No information given beyond "Thank you for using Children's Mercy." Googled Children's Mercy Cardiology and got sent to Children's Mercy hospital cardiology and cardiac testing. After wasting my time all morning with several conversations I was told there is Children's Mercy clinic and I was supposed to be there. But...appointment missed and needs to be rescheduled. I missed time off work and my son missed school due to poor communication on their part. Beware of scheduling issues and bad communication with Mercy. We will not reschedule. Cox or somewhere else, but not Mercy.

Really pleasant experience. Minimal waiting. They actually started my son's scans and such while another attendant asked me all those medical history questions. Very efficient. Test machine operator was very personable and comforting. Dr. Emge was patient and open with us and helped us know what comes next.

Let me start by saying: I have a 7year old autistic son who hates waiting rooms and doctors offices. I called ahead of time to ask if there was anything we could do make if easier on him, their response was "of course"! They put us in a room of our own automatically and didn't really make us wait at all. When came time for his EKG the room we went to was great!! They had sensory lights and cartoons waiting ! His nurse was soft spoken and proficient at her job!!! This was one of our best experience possible with a doctor's office !!!! Thank you so much guys for treating my little boy so well!!!

Dr. Emge is not very personable, made us feel as we were a waste of appointment. However, front desk ladies and Nurse doing the Echo/EKG were really nice.

This was our first experience with a cardiologist- as is most. As a mother, I was pretty nervous. Wonderful office of professionals and compassionate and understanding folks who fully understood that I was nervous, yet they took care of ever question and need I had. They made us feel like family even on the first visit!
