I'm Stilianos Efstratiadis, MD, FACC, FSCAI and I joined Phelps Health as an interventional cardiologist in December 2023. I see adult patients, ages 18 and up, at the Phelps Health Heart and Vascular Center. I have 20-plus years of experience and have completed over 10,000 heart-related procedures. I perform catheter-based procedures, including coronary and peripheral angiograms and stents. I also am well versed in inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement and removal. Patent foramen ovale (PFO) closures are another procedure that I perform. As a cardiologist, my patients always come first, and my responsibilities are to meet their needs.

I've had my first appointment with Dr E recently, I'm always nervous changing Doctors but he was very nice and treated me well. I don't know if a smile left his face the entire visit. He also seems pretty thorough and knowledgeable. Seems like a really decent guy. It means a lot to feel so comfortable so quickly. 5 Stars
Seemed like he was in a bit of a hurry but he was super busy, a lot of patients were there that day so that's not his fault. He seems to be very kind and thorough. Was only my first appointment but got a good first impression. Hopefully things will go well and we will figure out how to get my issues solved.
PSA: Phelps Health has really got a good one now. I saw Dr.E (as they call him). For a first time consult, he was in my room a total of 8 minutes and ordered a bunch of test (which is thurough) but did not explain anything. I left more confused when I left than when I came in. Regardless, I had the testing done and after they did an ultrasound on my legs, I receive a call from his staff stating the test was normal but he still wants to do a SURGICAL procedure to address the so called problem that was NOT seen on my results. I ended up doing my own research on the doctor and found that he has medicare fraud charges at his old place of employment in sioux City Iowa at Mercy One.. And many of the reviews stated he ordered multiple unnecessary procedures. I canceled my follow up and went to barnes in St.louis whom the cardiologist reviewed the images and showed normal and he said "a procedure would have been absolutely unnecessary". Be careful everybody.
