A registration person made me; because of her stating my referral didn't include lab work; call community care, who tried to tell her that the referral was good for lab work, she also made the rep send a fax for "lab work".... THEN!!! After telling me that the 5 pages of "referral" was not what she needed.... she wanted them back to make copies.... WHY. You just told me that is not what they needed. Will NOT Go to PHELPS HELP

I was called prior to our appointment and given specific directions to the hospital and where exactly to go once we arrived to the hospital. We had zero problems navigating with these instructions! They treated my daughter and myself with such respect and explained each and everything they were doing. Even the waiting room staff were extremely polite. They took the time to walk us to the elevators to help get to the next floor that we needed to be on for the next parts of our apt. Everyone in the hallway that were employees said hello or smiled. Everything was labeled explaining the diff departments and rooms with what doctors were where...I would recommend this hospital to anyone based off this experience alone :)

I had a really great experience at this facility. Prior to my appointment I was called and given very clear instructions on where to park and which entrance to take. I was greeted by warm receptionists and everything was done in a timely manner. Nurses were kind and informative. Thank you!

Phelps Healthcare in general really genuinely cares about people! After I moved from Rolla to the Springfield area I didn't find the same level of care particularly in pain management and orthopedic care. I make the 2 hour drive to Rolla because Dr Potter, Dr Knox, Dr Kunkel, Terrill and the rest of the staff are worth the drive.

Absolutely horrible ER experience. I went in for bloody stool and nausea. The Dr insisted I take a ct scan. I'm more upset they charged me $14,000 for the scan alone. It was unneeded and I was taken advantage of. These Drs need to know that people without insurance will be charged a ridiculous amount for service that they don't know the price of. Like if you're gonna have three people come in and they all are aware that I don't have insurance and the first question everybody asks is do you have insurance? But I get it you guys are out for money. But at the end of the day I think it would be beneficial to give warnings to people without insurance since everybody has to ask anyways. So it's kind of ridiculous that everybody is aware that I don't have insurance. Because I know I'm not the first person to get charged this amount And believe me, I disputed it for over a month and was completely lied to to begin with in the financial department, but we don't even have to get into that. To add, I even told the nurse to stop doing the IV because I don't have insurance and I don't know how much it's gonna be and they persisted to poke me. So yeah, 100% take advantage of but they don't seem to care and nobody in finances care so I'm literally stuck paying a bill to show nothing.
