Patient
After nine months of fainting spells every few weeks and multiple trips to the ER and multiple EKGs, CAT scans, MRI, a echocardiogram, a carotid doppler, wearing a Holter monitor, seeing a Neurologist and having a sleep deprived EEG, seeing a Cardiologist and having a stress test, wearing a heart monitor for 30 days, I finally had multiple incidents the same day. All the trips to the ER and all the multiple tests, everytime all results were normal and I was sent back home. Even the day I had 4 spells, and two trips to different ERs, I was sent home because all results were again all normal. The second trip to the ER was to Poplar Bluff at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. After being told everything was normal and to go home, as we were leaving and about the city limit, I fainted again. My grand daughter was driving us, so she videoed me and my wife was trying to wake me up. We returned to the ER. My daughter finally got thru to the heart monitor company, and told them the times I had fainted. After they spoke with the Dr. He told me I needed a pacemaker, and my heart rate had gotten down to 22 beats a minute. I now have a pacemaker and am doing great! I wanted to mention how very nice and caring everyone, doctors, nurses, technicians, and everyone were to me and my family members. I have since found out that the cardiology department there is one of the top rated in the entire state and I truly believe that to be true! I returned today to see Dr Roland Njoh for my 6 week follow up appointment and am so impressed with him and the entire department. I would highly recommend to anyone with heart issues of any kind Dr Njoh, or any of the other doctors and the entire Cardiovascular Institute of Southern Missouri and Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
