About Dr. Surajit Majumdar, MD
Surajit Majumdar, MD, FACP, is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine at Chesterfield Internal Medicine & Rheumatology. He earned his medical degree from Calcutta Medical College and completed his postgraduate degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Calcutta - Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research. He completed his residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and his fellowship in Medical Leadership from the University of South Florida's Leadership Institute. He also obtained the prestigious Membership of Royal College of Physicians in 1992, while working as a Registrar in Medicine in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Majumdar is a very nice man. He wasn't comfortable prescribing certain medications I was on, so he is not my physician. My husband sees him though and hasn't had any major issues. I only gave him 3 stars because I will call in for my husband's refills and many, many, times they are not filled that same day. I've worked in a Healthcare setting for 10 years and our physicians would NEVER leave someone waiting for their prescriptions. If I call in for a refill it should be refilled that day, or I should be given a call to find out why it hasn't been filled. The staff seem nice, especially the back office staff. The front office has given a little attitude a couple times. Not for anything we did, but a residual attitude from something that must have happened earlier.

The best doctor I've ever visited. He listens to each and every single word you say and explains the reason as to why it's happening and what can be done. He himself calls the patient about any test results and updates. Would highly recommend this doc.
