I can't speak about Dr. Hood, herself, because I never got to meet her. However my experience with this office was awful. I showed up at the appointment early (as directed) but couldn't find her office. (St. Luke's campus is very spread out and Google maps was telling me conflicting areas for office and parking). The office phone number was nowhere on the paperwork they sent, so I pulled over and had to Google it. When I called they didn't seem very knowledgeable about how to direct me to the correct building. Then they told me it was too late and I'd have to reschedule! I would have been 5 minutes late (tops) by the time I parked and walked inside. That's it. I usually try to be punctual or early to appointments, but they knew I was a new patient and unfamiliar with the office. I'm also a teacher and had to ask off and arrange a sub for this appointment only to be told it was too late. When attempting to reschedule later, I was met with more rudeness. Again, I can't speak for Dr. Hood herself, but I will NEVER be working with this office again.

Horrible experience. Never met the physician because I waited 45 minutes in a gown with no one checking on me before I got dressed and left. They called an hour later and asked if I was coming back. Are you kidding me??? My advice to potential new patients is to find someone else.

By far the worst doctors office I have ever experienced. The NP that is talked highly about, quit the office and it has been a revolving door since. Dr. Hood is nice, but you see her for 15 minutes AT MOST. Her staff is so rude and condescending. They are untrained medically yet given the responsibility to call and inform you of results from important tests. If you have any questions, they just repeat the google definitions or ask if you would like to pay to come in for more info with a visit with an NP. I needed a form filled out and it took over a month so I made an appt to come in person to have it filled out. After over an hour waiting, the NP came in and said she didn't have time to fill out the form and that she would get to it later that day as she was extremely behind on her appointments. I scheduled and PAID for an appt to get this form filled out and then it took another 2 weeks of calling, reminding, and dealing with the rude staff multiple times. I normally am not one to leave reviews either, but I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years and have been beyond frustrated too many times. I 100% recommend looking for a different doctor - one that actually has a doctor that sees you and talks through results with you.

Met with Dr. Hood this past week for my annual exam. Waiting an hour in the exam room, indifferent and flat rapport. Generally poor overall experience after many years with Dr. Hood. Time to shop for better care, my time is valuable, too.

I just got on here to look up Dr. Hood's phone number to make my appointment and saw the reviews. I have been a patient of hers for several years (I found her office through my insurance plan directory). Dr. Hood and her staff have always been very nice, caring and compassionate, and I have always received nothing but the best medical care and customer service from her and her staff. She really is great in my opinion, and I would highly recommend her.
