William R.M. Ogle, MD, is a board-certified thoracic surgeon. After graduating from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Dr. Ogle completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, and a fellowship program at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Ogle has more than 20 years of ope- heart surgical experience. He has held various cardiovascular surgical positions in New York as well as in Southeast Missouri, before joining SSM Health. Dr. Ogle provides thoracic surgical care to adults 18 years of age and older and has clinical interests in heart valve surgery and off pump (CABG) procedures. He is a member of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

I needed a bypass an aortic valve replacement, and work done in my other valve. I did not know him but my interactions either him instilled a great deal of confidence. He did a great job. I would have no problem having him do another cardiac procedure on me or recommending any of my friends. The staff was incredibly professional and did everything possible to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
Very helpful. Gave us great answers to all questions. Helped us to relax. His pre-op people were wonderful.

I went in for mitral valve repair with a large amount of trepidation. The preparation meetings with the team really helped calm me down and increase my feelings of safety. The surgery went flawlessly and my thanks to Dr. Ogle and his team. Recovery isn't easy and I wouldn't recommend it if there are options. The time I spent in intensive care was a model of care and concern. I can't imagine a better group of caregivers anywhere! Period! My thanks to all of you.
