Not seeing Dr Quintana but his physician assistant I guess. If he wasn't ready to see me then why , why, why did she put me in this room so soon. 43 minutes and counting I've been in here. Getting ready to leave

This is not a review on Dr. Quintana as he's not even my cardiologist. It's a review of his office staff. Dr. Quintana has an alternate office in Ocean Springs that he allows associate cardiologists from out of town to use. I had a visit to that office last week on a Friday (25 April) but after I left I wanted to call the nurse back to ask her a couple of questions about having to go to the ER. They would be leaving soon to return to Louisiana so it was urgent, to me at least, but I didn't have a number so I called the Pascagoula office. The young lady who answered didn't have a clue and put me on hold. I didn't have all day so after a couple minutes I hung up and I called my cardiologist's office in Covington. That's when I learned that the Ocean Springs office couldn't take INCOMING calls, they could only make OUTGOING calls!!! In other words, they didn't have a number! That is outrageous to me, to say nothing of unprofessional.
I, personally, wasn't the patient my husband was. He was brought into the hospital by ambulance having a heart attack. They proceeded to do an emergency heart cath. After waiting, Dr. Quintana came out very cordially introduced himself and explained in easy to understand terms what had occurred to him and what they found and what he needed to do both procedurally and medicinally. Thank you, Dr. Quintana!!!
This review is mainly pertaining to the lady that is at the front desk and front office staff in general . We needed some paperwork done to file shirt term disability, not only was he charged $30 , it took them far too long to get the paperwork to the physician. Everytime we call we would get a different answer in regards to the status which prolonged the process. Eventually I got tired of different stories so i went down there myself and explained to the lady up front that this had been a process of waiting since March & she nastily said "he hasn't been waiting on us, if we got the papers we would have filled them out" i then said no one said waiting on you'll i said waiting in general. I then asked her an estimated time frame to get the documents back and she quickly I'm not sure, instead of at least attempting to get a solid answer. Her attitude was very disgusting for her face to be the first person seen when entering the office. I have worked at doctor offices as a front office staff and that's not how you talk to patients nor family of patients because you treat others as you would want to be treated but also it's your job to answer and respond to questions that may be asked. We were always taught if you don't have the answer you find someone that does. She simply seemed as if she didn't care nor was she interested in getting the documents done in a timely manner. She made no effort to sympathize with me regarding this. I'm not sure how he's expected to pay any outstanding bills without being paid, including anything from their office. His daily livelihood depends on them right now and there is absolutely no sense of urgency. I'll take it that maybe they have bad days but that's to no fault of the patients that rely on them. Dr. Quintana maybe some training and education would be beneficial.
I went to see this Dr. Because I had other issues going on and my primary dr. Wanted to rule out any issues with my heart. I passed every test with flying colors! A few years later I need to have a colonoscopy. Dr. Quintana refused to sign a release until I come in to see him! If he had found something wrong with I could understand this. Now I can't get a test I need done until he sees me. I cannot afford to go to a dr. For no reason. Thanks for nothing Dr. Quintana!
