Dr. Thomas Plavac is an interventional cardiologist at CIS in Meridian. He completed his pre-medical education at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. He earned both his master's degree in biochemistry and his doctorate at the University of Miami in Florida. Dr. Plavac's post-graduate training began at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami where he completed his internship and fellowship in internal medicine and was named chief resident. Dr. Plavac is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography, and adult transthoracic/transesophageal echocardiography. He has practiced as a cardiologist for nearly 30 years.

Dr. Plavac is wonderful on top of being respectful and nice he is also very thorough. I have had trouble with my cholesterol for years , I've took med after med and it just got higher.they found blockages because of my cholesterol. He put me on a new med and in 4 months my cholesterol is cut in half. Thank you so much for what you done
