About Dr. Robert C. Long, M.D.
Robert C. Long, M.D., received a PharmD degree from University of Mississippi and an MD degree from University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases at University of Mississippi Medical Center before going to University of Alabama-Birmingham for fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology and training in Pulmonary Vascular Diseases. He returned to University of Mississippi Medical Center and has been a leader in the Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology section in helping to grow the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program for which he serves as medical director and the heart transplant program.
