I had to go to United hospital yesterday for biopsy and the care and compassion I was given was outstanding. The nurses were great and there was one her name is Laurie who went out of her way to make me comfortable and was so sweet I've just never had such a wonderful nurse and she deserves recognition. Before my procedure the doctor came in Dr Carolan and he was wonderful he explained everything about the procedure any symptoms I might experience if I had any questions it was one of the best hospital experiences I've ever had! Which is amazing to see cuz nobody wants a hospital experience lol

Total dissaray - my last visit no could start an IV line. They tried four different places, none were acceptable. I have always been told that I was easy to do. Overall it was kind of crazy and disorganized. Employees seemed untrained and untalented. The good ones must be working somewhere else.

I was taken to United this past Tuesday by ambulance. The medics were absolutely fabulous. Very attentive and made me feel comfortable. When I got to United, once again everyone was amazing! Very concerned about what was going on and walked me thru everything and we're very understanding!

My dad was scheduled for a surgery at 1:30 pm, and we were asked to be there at 11:30 am, and we were. We had to wait over an hour in the waiting area, then we waited over an hour in a pre-op room. Someone came in apologizing that she "forgot about him" (ummm, what?!). And then two nurses came and tried to get him caught up with everything. The surgery started two hours later than it was scheduled for, and he was in recovery for three hours waiting for a bed to open up. He said his pain was at a 9 when he woke up; he's a very tough guy, so this was concerning that it was so bad right away. He got a bed in a shared room around 8 pm, which is when I could finally see him. The next morning, all he needed was an ultrasound to confirm no blood clot before getting discharged. It was 3:30 pm before he was taken down for the scan - his nurse was great in checking in about where he was in line a few times and doing what she could to advocate for him, which is the only reason for a second star. The staffing situation seems terrible, and I felt so bad for my dad having to share a room overnight - he's had his own room at other hospitals. This was our first and hopefully last experience at this hospital.

I echo the sentiments of other reviewers and their experience with shared rooms. I had surgery at this hospital, and my experience was extremely disappointing due to being placed in a shared room. After surgery, patients need rest and privacy, but that was impossible here. My roommate was loud, snored all night, and even left feces on the toilet seat. It was uncomfortable, unsanitary, and stressful during a time when I was supposed to be healing. Shared rooms should no longer be part of hospital policy especially for post surgery patients. It's unfortunate that these complaints have been ongoing for years and United seems to be refusing to fix this issue.. Many other hospitals, like Fairview Southdale, have made the switch to private rooms to improve patient comfort and recovery. I strongly recommend choosing another hospital that prioritizes patient well-being and cleanliness. Please don't respond asking me to call and talk about my concerns. It's a generic response that holds no value. Nothing will be done about this so this is why I am urging people to look elsewhere for their care.
