My wife was in the ER 2 months ago where a 7cm cyst was discovered on her ovary. We get referred to this place. My wife spends the next 2 months in constant pain. We call multiple times to see if she can get in any earlier, and were essentially told "lmao nope good luck." So we finally get to the appointment after an excruciating 2 months, just for the doctor to say that because shes moving soon they can't do anything and we get referred elsewhere. They kept this appointment knowing this just so they could bill our insurance. This cyst could pop anytime, causing severe internal bleeding, yet these clowns would rather pad their bottom line than do the right thing.

Awful experience today. They do not care about their non-english speaking patients. We have been coming here for YEARS and they were horrible today. I specifically asked over the phone when making multiple appointments for my mom if I could go in and translate. they said YES. I come in and the front staff didn't let me in and got in an argument with me, trying to say she will have to go up there and not understand whats going on OR she cam just leave. I ended up calling the OBGYN myself to see what we can do. They call me a lyer and claim they never gave permission for me to go up, so i said "can she go up and have me translate over the phone?" and they said YES. so, she went back up there and guess what? They said she can't have me on the phone translating... I get that its COVID season, but I haven't had this issue in other clinics this month (we have been to a few). They VERY much to not care about their immigrant patients and they could have done better.

Good doctors. Trust them with my life. But how is it even remotely acceptable that you cannot schedule an appointment with your specialist for 6 months. How is this acceptable? Medications are typically on daily or weekly schedules, tests are done far more often than 6 months. How they find this to be an acceptable operation is beyond me. Especially to not have a fill-in procedure, for cancelled appointments. Absolutely wild to me.

I saw Dr Blevins in gastroenterology days after learning I had 3 large benign liver tumors. He dismissively interrupted me while I was speaking to tell me my tumors "aren't large" (they're softball-sized), don't cause discomfort (they do), & seemed annoyed that I wanted to talk to a Dr about it. It's not crazy to be worried about TUMORS... This was all new to me & I was clearly scared. I felt forced to find new care outside of Park Nicollet after this visit: a Hepatologist at HealthPartners, & surgical oncologist at the U of M, who both urged my tumors ARE large & they DO cause pain as the inside of our ribs are very sensitive & the tumors irritate them. Anyway, Blevins originally ordered my 6-month MRI which showed all tumors shrunk, two by about 10%. So I go to discuss the images with my surgeon at the U who did his own measurement on the screen in front of me, showing that they actually did not shrink. The MRI notes are wrong. Because this MRI is on my permanent medical record, & one of the best surgeons in the state is telling me it's inaccurate, we decide it's reasonable to ask for a radiologist to double check the measurements. The difference between NO shrinking & my largest tumor shrinking by nearly an entire centimeter in 6 months is not insignificant. I paid for this MRI, I'm about to undergo embolization on the largest tumor, I am entitled to accurate measurements. I call PNC imaging & they say only the Dr who ordered the MRI can request a remeasure... so I call Dr Blevins' nurse, explained this to her, she wrote down my request & reasoning in detail, & a week later Dr Blevins' response: "This is an unorthodox request... not sure what's behind this... tell her to talk to her new doctors." Not sure what's behind this? I explicitly stated "what's behind this": a surgeon at the U said it's incorrect. We want accurate medical records. "Not sure what's behind this" implies what? That I'm scheming something? I'm shocked & insulted by such a disrespectful attitude toward a patient. ONLY Dr Blevins can help me with this, he knows this, & he is refusing. Flat out refusing to have his nurse make a 30 second phone call to imaging down the street to give them the thumbs up on our request which would take a radiologist 90 seconds to remeasure. I've been at PNC & Methodist for 30 years, I've paid every bill on time, I've never asked for a special request before. I'm being punished because Blevins is, I have to assume, bitter that I'm working with other doctors now...? I'm working with other doctors because Park Nicollet & Methodist have let me down so severely. The U of M is out of network for me; I'm spending THOUSANDS out of pocket to be able to talk to someone who shows me concern, respect, & professionalism. Is that fair to me? Do not go here or work with Dr Blevins unless you want to feel like a constant burden

Appointment navigation comes up short on arriving at the correct location, eg on the third floor of dept spanmimg 2 or more floors, or sparse indoor location signage, or other navigation aids. Inevitably, you have to feel lost and hope whomever you ask might know. Specific added notation could have been added in the sparse location details.
