I was seen by this doctor today for an ER follow up. I was treated rudely when I explained that I did not have insurance or income to pay for my prescriptions. I explained I was disabled and was rudely asked what my disability was. Is this even legal? She asked why I couldn't afford my medical and I explained that I'd lost my Social Security due to working over too many hours as my husband's PCA. She rudely, and condescending told me that I could not be a PCA for my husband because just being his wife was my job. I was livid !! I told her that yes, I could in fact be his PCA and she continued to argue the fact. ( This was during COVID Iwas his caregiver). Being disabled I could not walk far and requested a wheelchair to help me to the lobby. Waited another half hour for help before walking out on my own while the wheelchair sat right outside the room. To add: I am now recovering from a triple bypass surgery and near fatal heart attack after being dismissed b6 this doctor.
