Since moving to the Savage/Prior Lake area in 2016, I've trusted Scott Lake Veterinary Center with the care of my German Shepherds and cats. The staff is always fantastic and provides excellent care. We primarily see Dr. Tom, who has been incredible--patient, compassionate, and truly invested in our pets' well-being. He always takes the time to answer our questions and ensures we feel supported. EXEMPLARY Staff and care! Visiting this clinic means receiving exceptional care like nowhere else! I've never come across a place where not only the veterinarians but every staff member shows such genuine compassion and commitment to the well-being of both you and your pet. They saved the life of one of my dogs and promptly diagnosed epilepsy in another, effectively preventing her seizures from occurring. We will never trust our pets' care to anyone else!
Brought my dog in because he had a big gash on his stomach from running around in the field. They denied to do any work whatsoever on him and told me to go to another place because he needed to be put under to operate on him. Went to Apple Valley Pet hospital and they did NOT need to put him under. They gave him a few staples and antibiotics and sent him home with me in an hour. Over all, Prior Lake pet clinic was too fast to make any judgement and barely took time to look at my dog before turning him away. Would not recommend this pet hospital to anyone after that experience.
I had my dog there a couple times, way overpriced for a common ear infection, testing that didn't need to be done at all. I had specifically told them he had an ear infection and needed antibiotics. Then the vet sees him and comes back and says "do you know that your dog has an ear infection?" Next, my dog recently passed away, now they keep calling me and asking me to update his vaccines, how many times does it take before they finally quit calling me asking if they can bring him back in for more vaccines, probably doesn't need any since he's gone.
Lead my family on with the illness of our kitty, costing us over $6000 when a simple antibiotic medication was all she needed. Then, out of spite, because we asked for her medical records for another veterinary, they canceled her needed special canned food that came monthly. The food was only for weight gain for an older cat so there was no need to cancel it. Will never go here again!
