4 stars because I can't speak on the ER department, but I received my first iron infusion on 12/09 in the infusion center of the hospital and had a wonderful experience. The nurses made sure I was comfortable and they were very nice. 10/10 recommend getting any infusion here.

TREATS PATIENTS LIKE PRISONERS. DO NOT SEEK HELP HERE. My brother admitted himself voluntarily on Friday evening to seek help with his mental health. During his stay, he behaved appropriately and was not considered a threat to himself or others. He was told when admitting himself that he would be able to leave at any point if he does not feel he is benefitting from the care. His plan was to stay until Sunday evening so he could return to work on Monday. Sunday evening comes around, his ride shows up to bring him home, and they're both told that a "hold" has been placed on him and he cannot leave. TO THIS DATE, my brother has not been given a reason for this hold. There was no police intervention, court order, and he had voluntarily sought help. They kept him until Tuesday afternoon. 36 hours longer than he should have been there. My brother went to seek help for his mental health, and left that place feeling violated, scared and utterly alone. His medical file was not updated during his stay at the facility. The nurses had sent an in house chat to doctor Van Doren telling him he needed to come speak with my brother. The doctor viewed the message, and refused to respond and did not take the time to speak to my brother. I will be writing letters to every editor I can. We are pursuing a medical malpractice lawsuit against this hospital. They don't care about their patients, only how much they can bill. Would give zero stars if it were an option. DO NOT SEEK HELP HERE.

As a first-time father (11-4-25) still in the Hospital as i write this. Mercy has ruined my experience and made me not even feel like a parent but an issue within the room. We came here bc we thought they would respect our religious and medical beliefs. Even after constant talks with our doctors,I couldn't have been more wrong. If your beliefs are outside of theirs or your nurses/doctors, you get persecuted until they get the testing done they want regardless of your religion or personal medical preferences. They accuse you of hash drug use or whatever they can as a threat for DHS if you have a religious belief such as no dna collection from the baby. They will lie and say their legal team told them its state law and mandatory when it is not. Then, retract on if when called out. I had to contact my attorney twice and was still bothered by their scar tactics until i gave up our beliefs for whatever they wanted. They williterally tell you everything is wrong with your child bc they know as a first-time parent you will do anything to make sure your child is ok just so they are ustified in taking what they want. I will never come here and would rather bleed out on their sidewalk than be treated here again. Very disheartened to feel like an issue in the room instead of being able to celebrate our baby boy. lve held him once on his way to his mother and have had no bounding time with him like we were lead to believe I would. It breaks my heart to be treated like this and makes the thought of more children 100 times more scary for the future to the point where idk if i want more when all we wanted was a family. So the hospital lab director told us nothing was found to be wrong with the presenta as we were told by the doc, nor were any of the justifications they ised to take blood. No issues were found with our son during or after their harassment. Update: There are no legal actions anyone can do against mercy bc of their religious beliefs. They use their beliefs to override yours, and you give yours up as soon as you authorize treatments. Mercy has reached out apologizing for the situation with a letter, and we were apologized too from multiple nurses. None of these things get back to your first child experiences or our beliefs respected. Heart broken.

I didn't get to tell nurse Brandon (I really hope that's his name, lol) how grateful I was/am for his incredible bedside manner and gentle/silly ways made me very calm and I felt respected/nurtured. I was in and out of consciousness because I was recovering from surgery...But every time I 'woke up' I was excited to see him! He made it feel like I was waking up to chat with my new best friend. So somebody pls make sure Brandon (if that's his name ) sees this. He's a nurse in the post op recovery area. I was apprehensive based on the reviews of having surgery here, but I trusted my surgeons and everything went great. The anesthesiologist took significant time with me to calm all of my agitation and nerves around being intubated again. Overall it was a great experience. Giving just 4 stars bc my pre op nurse was very rigid and completely lacked any bedside manner. I felt like a number to her.

I've had a few really great experiences at Mercy, as well as my husband. Most recent was a trip to the ER after consulting with a triage nurse, the ER would have the scans and technology I needed. Was admitted into a room right away (8am on a Thurs) and Dr was in within minutes. The nurses took great care to check on me often and connect me to an IV and started pushing pain meds for my symptoms. Turned out I needed surgery and the doctor that came to brief me in it explained all options as well as risks and possible outcomes. We decided on a plan of action on advance and now I'm 5 weeks post op and healed perfectly. The pre-op nurses were amazing as well as the post-op nurses. Almost the highlights of my unfortunate trip to the hospital... I wish I remembered their names.
