Total disappointment when I went in for an appointment this morning for a yearly recheck! I was told I needed a referral (which I had one when I was here last year and since it's not been a full year I figured it was still good because nobody informed me I needed a new one when they called to change my apt from December til today) I was told it's my job to know that I needed a referral from Christy at the front desk and she said they left me a message (which I never got) on aug 22..(i even came home and double checked both phones and no messages) .I asked why I didn't get an email about this since i obviously didn't get the message and was told it was a HIPPA law (so why can I get a phone message??) I took a day off of work and had someone come and watch my kids for this appointment.. I asked if they could contact my doc for the referral and was again told that's your job to contact your doc so I did and she gave me her fax number to have it faxed. My apt was at 9 am...I contacted my doctor's office at 9:10 and she told me she would get it there shortly but had to log into blue care network to send it over, I hung up the phone and told Christy she was sending it over only to be told "nope it's too late dr. Devlin will not see you now it's 9:15 and he is on a tight schedule" now again...I took a day off of work and had to have someone come watch my kids for an appointment that had to be rescheduled because of this office's mistake! VERY FRUSTRATED and your front office needs to get some people skills for how they talk to patients!!!!
