Henry Ford Medical Center - St. Clair Shores

The lab is now run by Labcorp. Ridiculous wait times and unhelpful staff. Came in to pick up a CONTAINER and was told to wait with everyone else. Old lab would've just handed me a jug and sent me on my way. Nobody answers the phone. Terrible.

I hate to write such a scathing review, but I had multiple problems with this surgery center this past Wednesday for my surgery. To be honest, I was going to give 2 stars, but thinking back, I get madder and madder the more I think of my overall experience and what I paid for. First, when billing called to collect on payment, they were extremely rude. I talked with a female and she had a harsh tone to her voice, for absolutely no reason at all. When we asked if we could be billed, her answer was a snippy "No." Look, I was having an elective surgery and my husband and I were fully aware and prepared to pay upfront. But, to treat us like we were destitutes and deadbeats over the phone was unwarranted. Furthermore, nothing could be farther from the truth about our situation....we had adequate funds to pay for the surgery. Plus, the fact that we just had a 'quote' from the doctor doesn't really give us anything in writing....no true 'bill' that is an explanation of money owed for a goods or service. It should be reasonable practice to provide a bill in writing once a surgery is booked. If my surgery wasn't performed, I would have had nothing to show for it. Sadly, the billing department issue was the least of my issues. The best person I dealt with during the entire process was the pre-op health review nurse that called. Her name was Laurie. She was fantastic. Kind, caring, knowledgeable. When discussing my medical history, she asked if I get sick from anesthesia. I wasn't really sure if I get nauseous under general anesthesia as I had only ever had twilight anesthesia for routine colonoscopies and done fine with that. Out of an abundance of caution, we mutually decided she would write an order for anti-nausea medicine to be administered through my IV....a good idea for peace of mind, I thought. Fast forward to surgery day. There was so much that went wrong, it's unbelievable. Google limits word count, so I can't go into detail, but I had the worse nursing care. The WORST. Would be happy to discuss and did have it all typed out, but evidently was over the word count. Let's just say that I was sorely disappointed in the poor care I received. Maybe my case was a one-off, but some things happened that never should have. My nausea and pain were completely were poorly controlled. Nursing staff was inattentive and tone-deaf. I cannot recommend this surgery center.

The staff was wonderful. They introduced themselves, they all worked together as a team before the surgery. The staff after the surgery couldn't have been any nicer. The nurse helped me get dressed and ready to go. The pharmacy is at the facility so I didn't have to worry about stopping to pick up a prescription

I had a somewhat serious procedure done there 2/6/25. I was treated very well and had an exceptional experience. My surgeon was wonderful and all the nurses, anesthesiologist and everyone who assists these people were so nice. I would recommend this center 100%. Thank you to all who made my experience a safe and comfortable one.

I love Dr. Rammouni. He is the most caring doctor that I have ever had. He listens and is very compassionate. I have been a patient of his for at least 25 years. His staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend him and his practice.
