Prescribed my mother Eliquis and schedule her follow up appointment a year later after prescribing, she started bleeding internally and passed away. Who prescribes a new med to a patient with a year later follow up? By the time my mother realized the medication was a problem, it was too late. Also, while my mother was in the hospital before her passing, she had nothing to say to the family, just sat at the nurses station, looking clueless.
