CMU Health - Riverfront

I've been a patient with CMU for over a decade. I go to the concentric location but they didn't have any appointments until November for new patients. I mistakenly recommended a family member that just moved here from out of town to CMU. It has been hell trying to get a medical form filled out so that he can receive help in his home. We went to see Dr. Kim, Sept 22 for an examination & to get the medical form filled out. He went over meds and asked him questions, sent refills, and ordered a 2ww (thank you for that). He stated he couldn't feel out the medical needs form until he receive his records from his previous doctors. The doctor office he transferred from stated they sent it out the next day. It is now October 16, almost a month since the initial visit n we are still waiting for the form to be filled out. I've now been told Dr. Kim is out at the hospital until next week. And the lady on the phone was trying to talk to me like I'm incompetent which is mighty entertaining being I'm a licensed professional that interact with patients all day everyday. As a therapist, I, nor my therapy partners, talk to our patients or their family members like their idiots when they're trying to get their family members help!!!! But then again, I guess thats why shes in the area shes in. She also told me I can get the paper filled out by his physician thats out of town. Sure I can after you guys already billed his insurance for the first appointment. He also had a fall since the last visit and I was offered another appointment. I didn't see the purpose of another appt and another billing of his insurance just to still be waiting for the paperwork to be filled out. I asked can another doctor fill it out and was told no, which is a surprise because it's not like a Physical Exam was performed. Just a verbal and visual exam!!! They really don't care about their patients at the Washington location. Very sad! And she kept trying to put emphasis on him only coming to one appointment. Well Ms. Maam, How many appointments do you think he needs to get the paperwork filled out so that he can be safe in his home?

I had a wonderful visit with my doctor everything was explained to me so that I could understand it. There is follow up to do which was also explained to me. It was a great experience and I look forward to going back and seeing my doctor in January.

Go somewhere else. I hate this place. I've been going here for over 4-5 years & NO ONE , I MEAN NO ONE, EVER ANSWER THE PHONE ,NEVER They tell you to leave a message & dont call you back. I have literally went there & seen them on there phones ignoring the phone calls. I have called several times today. No answer. Go go here. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE CLOWN CIRCUS

Dr Kraus-Horbal is by far the best Dr I've had in the last 20 years at minimum. She listens throughly and I feel as though I can talk to her as a friend as well as a dr. Other drs I've felt like I have to be careful how I word things for fear they would misconstrue what I meant. I don't have that same concern with her whatsoever. She's highly responsive in mychart as well which makes my life so much easier. I came to her medically complicated and with a rather involved care team across the state and she's fantastic at working with them as well.

Dr. Rene is very knowledgeable and really listens to you. I've been seeing him for about 10 years and I was barely able to walk at that time. Since being treated by Dr. Rene I am able to do everything I was able to do before RA invaded my body. He truly is the best rheumatologist!!
