Patient
The care was excellent but they discharged me into the snow with no shoes. I was admitted from the ER and when they wheeled me up to my room they had placed my coat hat and gloves in a bag but forgot my shoes amazingly. I told the gentleman that it appeared my shoes were missing and we check the bag and my shoes were not there for the next four days they said they were looking for my shoes. Within hours of my arrival they brought up a bag and said here are your shoes with the bag contained another man's street shoes along with his glasses and wallet and I said this is not mine but they were ready to let me keep them so some poor old man who was admitted wouldn't have his shoes glasses and wallet. I think there needs to be some sort of protocol to ensure that all personal belongings accompany the patient. I saw on my discharge document a very extensive checklist that had been pre-filled out with my shoes and glasses and mobile phone checked off as accompanying the patient but I did not sign it because it was not true.
