Each time I visit the lab, the check-in process is confusing and inefficient. Even when I check in online and indicate that I'm on my way, the wait is still very long. When I arrive, the front desk representative directs me to use the kiosk, but I'm unable to check in there and am then told I should have gone to a different front desk instead. This back-and-forth is frustrating and unclear. Once I finally see the technician, they are always very kind and professional. The check-in process would greatly benefit from clearer directions and a more streamlined system. Today, Lisa from Henry Ford reached out to me. She was very polite showed empathy and addressed all my concerns. I want to say thank you and I appreciate the follow up. This is why I decide to update my review and give them five stars.! It is always very important to listen to your patient's show kindness and professionalism. Thank you again.
I called to make an appointment for a new medical condition with my PCP and was refused an opportunity to make an appointment because the scheduler noted that HAP does not have any PCP listed on my policy. I let them know it was my first year with HAP and I had seen this doctor previously (just not 2025) and that I'd like to schedule the appointment and then follow the protocol with hap. The answer was no- it was my responsibility to call HAP to tell them a name, and then allow for a 24 turn around time for it to be in the system. The scheduler confirmed that despite Henry Ford's ownership of HAP, my care would be delayed on this technicality and that I could call back to schedule once HAP said it would be okay for me to schedule the appointment. I've visited this office since the day I was born for primary care, I'm now 32. I moved all of my care (including primary care) away from Henry Ford because of this because they've lost their personal touch and also the plot. Do better.
Came here on 9/16/2025 for neurology visit for my arm, was referred by Dr. Chen for an EMG to be done. I was told to wait for a call from the diagnostics center. I was not contacted for a few weeks, so I contacted them on October 9th, an an additional date in October and had to leave messages because no one picks up the phone at the diagnostics center. Waited for a phone call, nothing. Called in December, finally got through to someone, only for the very rude woman on the phone to blame ME for the fact that the diagnostic center failed to call me back. I have asked Dr. Chen's team to refer the EMG to MIND in Farmington Hills instead since apparently Henry Ford cannot provide care.
I'm very upset that a place I am supposed to be comfortable in , a place that is supposed to be clean thoroughly due to the kind of establishment it is caused this . I visited this hospital one day ago , got discharge and before I made it home my back starts to itch . I get home and see that something in this hospital bit me up bad! They had me in a gown with my back exposed which is normal I get that but I don't get being bit up like this while waiting for care. I'm so upset and paranoid hoping I didn't bring anything home . This is unacceptable they have bed bugs so be careful going to this emergency
