Dr. Jaffe replaced my wife's defibrillator/pacemaker in October because it stopped working. The new one he put in, the bottom lead is not located correctly causing her to have shortness of breath. Her heart should be beating at a rate of 50 beats per minute and hers in only beating at 30. He claimed he has been doing heart surgeries for over 30 years. If this is true, I'd expect he would know if the wire and coil were in the correct position. Due to his mistake, my wife will more than likely have to go through another proceedure to remove the old non-working leads that were capped and left in and have the main lead positioned correctly to bring her heart beat up to where it should be. I would not recommend Dr. Jaffe to any patient that has problems with their defibrillator/pacemaker. It seems he know more about telling jokes than her does about heart surgeries.
