What I am about show you is gross, but needs to be shown. I have loved Bronson for many years. I see that over the years the care for patients and the look of the facility has definitely gone down. I wish I was able to show pictures. Horrible!!!! My fiance was admitted yesterday for a infection in her kidney, due to a 14mm kidney stone, she had 3. So instead of cleaning the room she was placed in a NASTY, DIRTY AND FRANKLY LOOKS LIKE A GAS STATION BATHROOM. GROSS!!! BLOOD AND FLUID ON THE FLOOR. I CALLED EXPLAINED THE SITUATUON TO A NURSE, SHE EXPLAINED WHY AND ALSO WHY MY FIANCE WAS NOT BE LOOKED OVER PROPERLY. I get it short staff, being the weekend and all the other excuses, but when it come to patients they need to step it up, oh bedside manner by the doctor was horrible. To SOME of the doctors in Bronson, if you are in it for the $$$$ and not for WHAT YOU PLEDGED, which is too take care patients NO MATTER what. The doctors who went into the career for the people and are caring and loving, we need more of you. So sad....technology of medicine has advanced, that is great but take better care of those that need and trust you.

Carolyn, the MRI technologist, and Dan, the nurse, were both incredibly kind and understanding. They took the time to explain each step and made sure my sister felt safe and at ease, which helped relieve a lot of her anxiety. My sister has undergone several MRI preparations in the past and tends to experience significant anxiety and nausea. Unfortunately, prior to interacting with them, the staff member who was assisting her (I am unsure whether they were an MA or PCA) was rude, rushed, and not comforting, which caused my sister to become very upset and cry. I also spoke with the receptionist to kindly ask whether I could accompany my sister for support. I fully understand that many hospital areas do not allow visitors, and I was respectful of that policy. However, the interaction felt dismissive and somewhat annoyed, despite my calm and polite request. Additionally, during MRI check-in, I was told that relatives or visitors were not allowed to accompany patients. At the time, I accepted this without question. However, later on, I observed another couple being allowed to go together without any questions or concerns raised. This inconsistency was confusing and was offended, as the policy did not seem to be applied equally. That said, Carolyn and Dan truly made a difference. They reassured my sister, clearly explained what to expect, and helped her feel much more comfortable. Carolyn also kindly informed me that I did not need to stay in the room and that I was free to step out for coffee during the approximately hour-long scan. Their compassion and professionalism were greatly appreciated. So thank you. The staff here does not represent everyone, there are good people here too.

Good luck findng a pillow. The staff acknowedges they are scarce , If available at all. Same on blankets. Brought my own. Exactly why can't you pay for pillows and blankets? And don't say there's not enough money in the budget... And the Hospitalists don't care about your care. Cold and indifferent. The same could be said about many nurses encountered. I'll spare saying anything specific about ER which is a nighrmare. It is prb a great place to have a baby but don't be an older person who is normally very healthy who had some severe post surgical complications of unknown origins. No concern or compassion shown whatsoever

I can not possibly say enough nice things about the cardiac care unit at Bronson Hospital! They are amazing, from the ER care to the cardiac floor. They saved my life, literally! Dr. Wonderly, Dr. Mackay and every staff member from the nurses to the Technicians were patient, kind and very professional. Thank you all so very much!!

If you have a special needs kiddo stay far away from this hospital ER. My son is severely autistic, nonverbal, and was brought in by ambulance 3 days in a row because he was having serious self injury behavior and attacking staff. The doctor's here refused to help in any way. They chemically restrained him to the point he was snoring in bed and sent him back home. The refused to do a head scan despite seizure like activity with no history of seizures and my son had been hitting his head on cement VERY hard. The doctor told me there is no way he could hit his head on the cement wall hard enough to cause any damage. They refused to prescribe medication to help calm him down at home. They even went as far as to tell me that they do not do psychiatric evaluations at this hospital to see if he may need to go to a mental health hospital for medication adjustments. When I asked for my son to be transported to a hospital that could help him we were told that hospital to hospital transfers aren't a thing. When we then explained dad and I both work in EMS and know that is a lie we were told they would not fill out the paperwork for medical nessecity for him to be transferred. After a lot of back and forth they finally agreed to the transfer, but later cancelled the transfer saying the receiving hospital wouldn't accept. They discharged him still chemically restrained. We took him to the hospital we originally wanted him transferred to and were informed that Bronson not once contacted them about our son being transferred there and they wouldn't have refused the transfer. Multiple times we were lied to by Bronson hospitals. Thankfully we knew better and not only did my son have the brain scan that showed a brain hematoma that Bronson missed but he was admitted at the hospital. Bronson is a lawsuit waiting to happen and we're very much in violation of our rights and EMTALA. THIS ISNT OVER. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE STATE AND FILING A COMPLAINT. But for anyone thinking of going here with a special needs child, don't.
