The ladies who were working the night of 7-29-25 were the most compassionate and sweetest people I have ever met in a vets office. My fur baby had passed away on the way to the ER and they were just so kind to me. Tammy ( I believe that was her name) told me she was working the desk all night and to call if I needed someone to talk to and recommended a book about animals in the after life. These ladies made a heartbreaking event a little less awful.

A week ago, we experienced one of the worst situations for our family. Our beloved perfectly healthy five year old dog fell ill literally over night. We brought him to the emergency room and got a truly terrible prognosis that his kidneys were shutting down. The staff and vets at this hospital were very understanding and provided us with the best course of treatment to stop the damage. The night nurse kept sending me pictures on our boy throughout the night, seeing how distraught we were. Sadly, there was no recovery and we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy. Even in this terrible situation, I am very thankful that our dog was in their care for the last few days of his life. They treated him with respect and they treated us with compassion.

Went to the clinic for my Pom who looked like she had a seizure. As soon as we walked in, the tech asked a few questions and said we are going to "save" her as if she knew my dog was going to die. As they proceeded with her IV and calcium intake the doctor came out and said he doesn't know about our finance situation but the cost could be as high as $3k or so which includes overnight stay and care and said maybe after selling my puppies it can offset cost after knowing she was nursing thus the reason why she has this episode and it's common around this time. Ignored then he said he will give us a breakdown. The tech now comes out with the itemized bill with cost being around 1400 -2400 but can be higher. I said we can't just come out with this amount unexpectedly. She said theres a care card I can apply and it's no interest for 12 months. She also once again brought up my puppies saying my puppies after being sold can offset cost. This is when I said what I do with my puppies is none of your concerns and don't just assume we are selling. It was so unprofessional of her and the doctor to mention selling my puppies. I'm not a breeder and I never said I was nor is it professional to even bring this up in such a manner. She said she was looking at the best interest of my dog to make sure she has the best care. I said fine give her the care but the max on the invoice is what I'm willing to go. She goes It can be more there's no telling. I get it and I told her this is how much we can afford and she says she cant invoice at the cap. Well if you truly care for my dog you would care and provide meds for my dog up until the amount that us as pet owners can afford and not stop care after her first dose which they did. Mind you we were willing to pay much more for meds and continued IV to whatever max we gave them. I end up telling them I don't feel comfortable at this vet and I will bring my dog else where. The doc apologized for what he said and we signed the paper to release her and all they did was bill us. Did not mentioned anything about aftercare, talked to us about calcium intake nothing. Had they truly cared they would've talked to us about the dog and how we should continue to care for her. Their demeanor and everything about them is so unprofessional. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU GO ELSEWHERE UNLESS YOU HAVEALLOCATED FUNDS FOR YOUR DOGS CARE. Overall, my baby girl has gotten better. She is taking calcium and puppies are eating more solids to assist the mom.

Our 2 year old kitty, Wendy, ate something she shouldn't have and became sick. We took her here and everyone was so kind and compassionate. The night vet we saw listed out each test and its cost. He seemed like he was trying to be considerate of the financial impact to us while remaining dedicated to Wendy's care. It helped that they submitted the pet insurance claim for us which made things easier. The staff seemed to genuinely care for animals and were very kind to us throughout the ordeal. Wendy is now doing great and much better after her stay there (plus a stylish peg leg UGG boot)

A few years ago, I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life--to say goodbye to my beloved dog, who had grown old and tired. In that incredibly difficult moment, the team at Westford Veterinary Specialists showed me and my dog an extraordinary level of compassion, care, and kindness that I will never forget. From the moment we walked in, they treated my dog with such dignity and love, as if he were their own. They spoke gently, moved slowly, and gave us the time and space we needed. I was heartbroken, but their empathy and support made a world of difference. They didn't rush anything. They were patient, understanding, and comforting every step of the way. Even though it's been a couple of years, I still think about how grateful I am to have had them by my side in that moment. Their warmth and professionalism made a devastating experience just a little more bearable. I will always recommend you guys to anyone with a pet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
