Fhamida Khan, MD

Dr. Fhamida Khan provided very poor quality services to my husband earlier today. She belittled him and made he feel very uncomfortable by judging his lack of knowledge about his family history. He grew up in foster care so he doesn't know the details of his parents medical ailments . He asked for a referral for a health issue he's having and she said "you people always think you know everything" you're too young for that, even though he was told his father passed from cancer so he wanted to be screened. The lack of compassion and invalidating my husbands concerns really ticked me off. He will NOT be seeing her for medical advice again.

Excellent doctor. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a primary care physician. Dr Khan listens to your concerns and will refer you to someone who can help your situation. She is friendly. She goes out of her way to make you feel relaxed and welcomed.

I saw Dr. Khan for a new patient appointment. I was unpleasantly surprised with her lack of knowledge regarding pregnancy safe medications. I did not leave the appointment feeling that what was prescribed would be safe for myself or my baby, so I decided to forgo the treatment completely and defer to my midwife. She even told me that the antibiotics she prescribed would pose a risk to my baby so of course I never took them. I am a first time mom and want to make sure that anything I put in my body is safe for my baby. I will never fault someone for not knowing something, but acting like they do know or like something will be alright when it comes to a baby is not something I'm willing to risk. She diagnosed me with prenatal depression based on my history, then proceeded to respond to the results of my bloodwork with the following comment: Please make sure you do low-fat diet and to exercise regularly to lose some weight. I am certainly not a doctor, but I have never heard of advising a pregnant woman to diet or lose weight. I actually haven't gained weight during this pregnancy and I'm well into my second trimester. My weight was never addressed at the appointment. If my weight would pose a risk to myself or my baby, there is a much better way to go about this. My prenatal care team has never advised me to lose weight or change my diet, just to add in healthy fruits and vegetables as well as to try and exercise to prepare my body for labor. Especially after acknowledging my depression and knowing the type of body changes that pregnant women experience, this comment is simply unacceptable. I would strongly advise any pregnant women to stay away from this doctor for the safety of themselves and their babies. I will be discussing everything with my prenatal team due to my lack of confidence in her judgment.

Not to happy with this doctor and her services. Actually feel pretty insulted by her and at risk. She prescribed my wife antibiotics and also told her it will have an effect on the baby like who in their right mind does that. Right after she literally calls my pregnant wife fat and tells her to go on a low fat diet. The audacity on this women is outrageous or she's completely oblivious to her being pregnant. And completely disregarded that fact that she might have depression or other health conditions. Me and my wife will be changing primary care doctors due to the fact of this women only seeing my wife 1 time, never got to know her health concerns and making tremendously poor judgement calls without knowing the person and what's going on with them. We can't afford to have someone like this look after us especially after saying the medication will effect the baby and literally calling her fat. It's like throwing a rock at someone and setting them on fire.. The women needs therapy because the way she speaks to people can cause a serious issue of put someone at risk. As for me, she never fully addressed my health issues or have me answers and just only prescribed me vitamins and set an appointment almost a year later. Nice follow up Dr.Khan. The care we were receiving at baystate was obviously better. Should of never transitioned to Trinity Health because at least baystate took the time to properly address our health issues and consider all possible scenarios and/or outcomes. We really belive Dr.Khan will put our unborn baby at risk and jeopardize both of our health and not only our mental well being. I pray this women improves in the medical field for the sake of others safety and health. People's lives are in her hands and apparently this is just a paycheck to her.
