If you're a woman, especially a young woman, do not go to Baystate Cardiology. Your health concerns will be minimized, delayed, and ultimately dismissed. I was referred in August for serious cardiac symptoms and it took until March to even be seen. When I finally got in, I was brushed off with canned advice: "Don't drink alcohol, limit caffeine." I don't drink either. I live an extremely heart conscious lifestyle, and I came in scared and looking for answers. They ordered a Holter monitor and I dutifully wore it, thinking finally someone would take me seriously. It's now been over three months. No results. No call. No follow up. Nothing. I'm 29 years old and have been experiencing debilitating symptoms that should not be ignored. But because I'm a woman, they treated me like I was overreacting and just needed a med adjustment, even though heart disease is the leading cause of death in women in the United States. Honestly, this is probably why. This is not just poor care. It's medical negligence disguised as protocol. If you are a woman seeking cardiology support in Western Mass, please look anywhere else. Baystate's system is broken, and the cost of their inaction could be your health.

I have not been able to return to work due to lack of care from doc to fill out my light duty paperwork. Was supposed to return to work today, but even though I brought last week, doctor still has not filled out paperwork my job requires for light duty. Shaking my head at the fact you want my business, but if I can't afford it due to no paycheck, you are not going to receive it. Kudos to making it apparent that only the doctors matter. That is towards the medical field entirely. **Update 07/09/24: Office called me to pick up paperwork for light duty today Signed and dated at bottom as 06/28/24 I am going to get fired due to this office and their negligence. Wish I could give negative stars, and get everyone there fired.

I was sent to BayState after a fall because my hip gave out. while there I had 4 iv's pull out and at least one put an air bubble in my vain while reattaching. i also had a sore on my back started at 1 inch dia when i left it was 5 inch dia an allergic reaction to the IV meds. I thought I was there for the hip after 4 days they start talking about heart implants after air bubbles and bad meds it is hard to trust them with anything especially battery

They treat you like a joke. They basically profile and say ridiculous things like "so when you were last pregnant, at like 20..." First of all, I was in the middle of my bachelors at 20 and completed it. Definately wasn't pregnant at that time. It was years later when I was married that I was pregnant, so no need to talk to me like that. Just because I'm tan with tattoos doesn't mean I have my GED, grew up here, and got pregnant at 20. They were so rude when they said it. The doctor also smirked and asked me who told me to put cold water on my face to help regulate my system during an episode like it was some psychiatric trick, when my last doctor told me that 3 years ago. They're really rude. Looking forward to driving 2 hours for my second opinion considering my Mom who is a nurse in the ICU at Brigham Women's told me to go there instead. Oh, and I captured proof of my SVT episode with a well known and highly recommended device, when I showed the doctor, he initially looked at it like I got it from Wish. Edit: Go to Pioneer Valley in Springfield instead. Far more humane over there. I had called to complain per reply and they got back to me 2 weeks later suggesting a different practicing cardiologist under the same cardiologist - I thought it was a joke. The Patient Experience Team that replied to this google review? The person who answers the phone is rude and careless - she asked who gave me that number. I told them I was given the number to call in the Google review and she claimed she didn't have access to that information. Google. She didn't have access to Google or whoever replied to me.

From my entry into the "test zone" I felt welcomed. Every employee introduced themselves and thoroughly explained their portion of my test. Also, they knew i was extremely anxious and took the time to speak with me to keep my thoughts on a positive track. I am not sure of my admittance receptionist, but Maria and Michael started me out an kept me calm. Linda and Rebecca, the PA, were the next step and were amazing. When you enter these doors, feel confident that these employees have your best interest at heart and work to their fullest potential to make you feel comfortable!!!
