Went into the ER around 11pm with symptoms of heart attack, which turned out to be severe dehydration. Never got an IV/saline fluid even though they hooked up the receiving hose into my arm and my blood work showed signs of dehydration and high levels of BUN and Creatinine. Spent 5 hours there freezing cold and after 4 of those someone finally brought me a blanket. A shift change happened and a new doctor came in and told me I was fine and they discharged me. The staff was also incredibly rude to another ER patient in pain and had little patience for them, and I watched security roughly eject a member of the unhoused community who was on the verge of suicide back into the cold. To Cooley Dickinson: Yes, I opened a case about this visit, but you said your staff handled everything "By the book". So I'm here to warn people maybe they should risk a longer drive to Bay State for some better care

If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. Before the merge or buyout or whatever, this hospital was the absolute best. Now, it's a joke. It's just like going to Bay State or Mercy in Springfield, or Holyoke Hospital. The quality of care has decreased drastically. I went for swelling in my leg only to be told "it could be a cyst that popped and that's why it is swollen." When I challenged her by asking about the swelling in my left leg (which wasn't nearly as bad but still visible), she stated, "Maybe you have arthritis." They are a joke. Another time I went because I had numbness in my arms and face (after having just spent four days in the hospital in NY), they said they had "...full confidence that the hospital in NY did a full workup," and there was nothing left for them to do.

Worst hospital ever. I went to their urgent care to report intense pains in my abdomen around my belly button, and extreme pain when I would inhale. After speaking to their urgent care, they told me I needed to go to the ER. After showing up to their ER, I was brought into a small room with about 8 other people simply divided by curtains. I waited hours, they only bothered doing 1 urine sample. After this 1 urine sample and hours of waiting, the doctor came to me telling me that it's likely digestion issues and there COULD BE a chance of a kidney stone but it was "unlikely due to my age" and told me to reach out to my PCP to coordinate a specialist appointment. After doing so, I was charged over $1,200 by 2 specialists: one being from radiologist, the other for a urologist. COME TO FIND OUT I DID HAVE A KIDNEY STONE. After seeing CDH I was sent a $500 bill for the test and having this doctor stand in front of me. After setting up payments online months ago, I just received a call from a collections agency that they sent this "bill to" now in the amount of $700 after some "adjustments" were made. when trying to call I'm stuck in a line of 20 people waiting to speak to billing.

★★★

Only have some experience with this hospital and have not had a problem inside and although I appreciate the free parking their staff parking is awful and there are never any spots available I had to park in valet today and walk all the way up the hill in 10 degree weather with a heart transplant and I wouldn't have complained except I got a paper on my dash that is passive aggressive and a map for parking that I'm well aware of. Maybe pay attention to the staff parking in patient parking or the people double parked before yelling at the people parked in valet that isn't anywhere near the entrance and has over 30 spots open.

Patient

First time visit waited 6 hours, rude staff, intake nurse diagnosed me with something I never was diagnosed by the Dr for. And the Dr interrupts you Everytime your telling him why you came in. Gave me a prescription for something that he said he guesses it is and sent me home. Not from this area just moved here and I am highly disappointed with the care received.
