If I could rate him lower I would. Yet another doctor at VMG that is late and is a liar. Smiled at my trauma response while I was explaining what VMG put me through, lied and said I called his smile disgusting in the report regardless of me clarifying I thought him smiling in response to me being in distress disgusting and not his actual face(I don't make negative comments on physical appearances). He still put it in the notes I called his smile disgusting. Then he also guilt Tripped me with his reason as to why he was 28 minutes late to a virtual visit. He said his last patient was "so sick" to me. I also have chronic illnesses and feel he is sabotaging my medical care. He also doesn't seem to have any understanding around intersex conditions, or nonbinary people. Dr. Spitzer also continued to deadname me in his consultation notes to my PCP. He is unprofessional at best and if you want real care I would not reccomend Dr. Spitzer. I thought I could trust him but I was proven wrong again.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Spitzer. He is very respectful, knowledgeable, and really takes the time to explain things, listen to your concerns and answer any questions you may have. Definitely recommend!

This doctor seems more suited toward overtly LGBTQIA+ identified patients. When I explained that I was a cis/hetero and born female, Dr. Spitzer became extremely reluctant to adequately listen to my medical history and performed an overall cursory consultation of my needs, wants, and desires. Dr. Spitzer only wanted to put me back on a treatment regimen that has long been proven ineffective involving synthetic thyroid while referencing one instance of lab work (from July) - rather than exploring a more longitudinal approach in their assessment of recent data over the past year. They also dismissed the nature of my recent traumas involving sexual assault and bullying/discrimination in the homeless shelter as a non-binary Jewish feminist. This is a "wet" shelter which means they often put psycho-pharmaceuticals (medication) in the food to tamper whatever is being ingested outside the facility (legally or illegally). I asked for better advocacy given Dr. Spitzer's awareness of hormones, but it was clear they were committed to misconstruing the nature of our interactions through passive-aggressive distortions of my verbal and nonverbal communicative efforts to conceal their biases and prejudices with serving those who don't fit readily into some kind of LGBTQIA+ stereotypical narrative. So I asked for another referral.

First meeting just recently and as a nurse I would give the office staff and Dr. Spitzer 4.5 stars. Great team.
