My dad initially saw him for a second opinion and went back to see him for another appt when his blood pressure was still out of control. The 2nd time, he was condescending, asked "why we were there" bec my dad already had a cardiologist. Drs need to remember patients can read their notes; He wrote that he saw my dad "rather unexpectedly" (the appt was made months in advance). He did suggest some other medications and offered to speak with my dad's primary cardiologist, so I'll give him credit for that. One of my dad's symptoms was shortness of breath and no doctors thought to look at his lungs. Turns out dad had lung scarring (noted on an 2022 CT scan) and died shortly after this.

My family and I thought Dr. Block was condescending, rude and arrogant with zero compassion. Don't believe the fake MGH reviews and look for another cardiologist.

Dr. Block was very thorough, professional, and took the time to explain everything to me and my husband. He spent 45 minutes with us. He had a sense of humor and was kind. His staff is also excellent and efficient. Highly recommend this practice.

It has been quite awhile since I'd posted my Review and can't believe there hasn't been more Reviews, I have to add: Dr. Lawrence S. Block in Salem MA, is one of the more Thorough & Exceptional Cardiologists & Heart Physician! He has a way of easing worry, tension & concern! Dr Block answered all my questions so as in, keeping you on focus with guidance & encouragement. Both, outstanding and refreshingly supportive teamwork attitude. I've never had another Dr. do all the pre-work + run their own tests. In my experience, usually you're handed over to other Med-staff to prepare and they'd actually run your test, go to someone else to make another appointment, Pay and Done,... Bye! Well Not SO!, at Dr. Blocks' Office! Not the "Norm" at all. Sure, there're Med-Staff and trained Specialists who warmly greet you smiling and who check you in. The medical team that I met, at Dr Block's were extremely Professional and super helpful, bringing you into the Stress Test Room, give assistance to get you prep'd, hooked-up with electrodes & the machine, I felt comfortable. Dr. Block comes and greets you as warmly, speaks directly with you, telling you all about this test & Procedure with good eye contact, too. Answers any & all questions. I trusted him, right away. Post-Test! All is still great with my heart, except an elevated BP, which he spoke with my PCP and WE All Agreed (my Med-Team) that BP medication to be highly beneficial, which it is! Also, I can & Do honestly recommend Dr. Lawrence S Block as YOUR Cardiologist along with his Office'd great location! IrG
