I have visited Dr. Lamattina's office for manny years. The first time was by referral. I was impressed by the atmosphere of his office and staff. His staff has always been very kind and helpful. I never feel rushed. I trust Dr. LaMattina as a doctor and as person. I am happy with my choice. Bee

I have been a patient for more than 15 years. Dr. LaMattina is always checking in and making sure tests are done on a timely basis as part of my on-going monitoring. He and my internest communicate well to keep them both up to date..

Dr. Lamattina is a wonderful cardiologist. He listens well and explains clearly what is happening and what the choices are. He became my cardiologist in 2001 when I had a heart attack. A stent was placed at that time. In 2015 when I had chest pains again, he and his staff responded quickly, professionally and with great care. A double bypass was performed and since then I've been doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Lamattina and his team.

I was referred here by Acton Medical since I needed a month long halter monitor. My first (and only) visit there, I went in for the Echocardiogram, which was performed by a nurse. My health insurance wouldn't cover the halter monitor, so I had to pay for it out of pocket (which was very expensive) and got it mailed to me from CardioNet. After a month of calling in events on a daily basis, I mailed it back to them and waited for the results from Dr. Lamattina's office. They called me and the receptionist said that I didn't even need to come in to review the results with him, because they were "unremarkable". I found this a bit unprofessional, because after 18 years of fainting spells I was looking forward to finally getting some insight as to what's going on from a specialized doctor. At least have me come in to go over the results and explain things to me in detail so I can get some answers. This isn't even the bad part. Weeks after this, I was billed twice for "office visits" to return the halter monitor. I had to call several times and explain that I mailed the monitor back directly to CardioNet and never visited the office because they told me I didn't need to. They weren't very accepting of this at first. Then I got billed again and it was a complete duplicate of the original invoice. One person from the billing department was convinced that it was an oversight and just an accidental duplicate. After having to make several calls to the office and the billing department, they determined that Dr. Lamattina was charging two separate bills for looking at the results twice. I asked her to further explain this, and was told that he looked at two days of the 30 days of events. I was a little taken aback by this, because shouldn't he be looking at all 30 days? The receptionist told me that since the events were unremarkable there was no need. Even though this bothered me quite a bit, I let it go. Months later, I now get a call from Acton Medical saying that Lamattina's office was claiming they had no record of me beyond the echocardiogram and no results from the halter monitor. I called the office myself and spoke with Elaine, and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. She told me I didn't know what I was talking about, that I must have been told the wrong information. She proceeded to say that the results just weren't in their computer but they had them (which seems odd) and I told her it really felt like they were just covering their ass now and I was concerned about malpractice. She responded to this by LAUGHING at me. Laughing like I was saying the dumbest thing she'd ever heard of. This was the most unprofessional thing I've ever encountered. You can explain things without being that rude and condescending, and I don't even trust the results that were supposedly reviewed by Dr. Lamattina now anyway. Please don't go here, go to a more professional and courteous office where the people actually care about helping you.
